The mass poisoning of humanity: an exploration of human stupidity
As human beings, we're the only species stupid enough to actually poison ourselves. As part of modern living, we create a wide variety of chemical toxins that go into the ecosystem through rivers and streams, the air, the soil and so on. Not only that, we actually synthesize toxic chemicals and then inject them directly into the food supply -- knowing full well that they are poisonous and are major contributors to the epidemic rates of chronic disease we are experiencing today.

Actually, we're pretty darned clever, aren't we?
So not only are we the most stupid species on the planet, because we're poisoning ourselves, we are simultaneously the cleverest species, because we find ways to justify all that poisoning. We find scientific gobbledygook to claim that, yes, NutraSweet is good for you! Or that these chlorine atoms attached to sugar are great for you, or that mercury in your mouth somehow doesn't have a toxic effect on your body. Or that hydrogenated oils are perfectly fine for your heart health.
We stupidly say if you take those and you drink this weight loss shake made with sugar, you'll be healthy. And if you have this barbaric surgical procedure called gastric bypass surgery, you'll no longer be obese. And if you're not healthy, don't worry; we have magic bullet prescription drugs that will make you even healthier. So we're a clever population at the same time that we're incredibly stupid. Do you know what that's called? That's called being a population of great technicians and lousy healers. And that's exactly what we are today.
Having used the word "stupid" throughout this editorial, I use it deliberately. I don't mean it in the way that a teenager might say, "My stupid little brother flipped me off." I mean it in a more precise way, in the way defined by Dictionary.com:

Yes, All in the Name of Money...
That is what Sooo many on this site argue and fight for...The Human Race's Right to Poison for Money. Wouldn't be so bad if it was Just us...After all We deserve it for making Money the end all and be all. But it isn't just us, this Beautiful planet is home to MANY living Beings...And We Don't have the Right to Poison their home.
Cracks me up, these people who argue and fight over taxation...Like They Are Part of The 1 or 2% of the Ultra Rich. Well guess what people, they have the Money, you fight for Them and They keep pouring Poison into You and the ONLY home YOU have.
And you people who are Sooo Religious...just What Do You Think The Creator Thinks of What this Stupid Little Species is doing to the Earth and all the creatures??? Oh, I see...it's OK to kill as long as it's for Us

finding ways to justify ways to destroy one own moral compass isn't clever at all and it's worst to hurt other innocent people.
As humans, we have both good and bad within us, usually we do side with the good basically. Desperation, greed and accepting learn bad behaviors are generally the root cause when we go to our dark side.

I dont buy anything that comes in a packet or jar.. but even then with veg and fruit being sprayed with incecticides and other such stuff.. it leaves us very little option but to all become our own farmers!
Unless you buy organic of course.. and thats sooo expensive!

Well, we do have a Few things we can do...
Voting with your money, something that seems to get through, as you do Charli is a Major one...
Speaking out as Doll and others do is another important thing we can do...Maybe, just Maybe people will start to pay attention and do some research...You Know READ!
Then of course sending messages to your representatives (working with the system we have in place now), Along With Voting... Whenever an issue comes up that I care about I send emails or call...heck, letters if I have to, but I get my Message across...because they are Suppose to Work for ME.
The main thing is to stay informed...Don't turn a Blind Eye to what is happening. We Do have a Responsibility to the Planet and the Future. Plain and Simple.

you guys are absolutely correct, its time to change who we trust with our wellbeing. society is more diseased today than ever before in recorded history... it has to be all the poisons we are dumping into ourselves starting with the water. No other explanation. I am going to start using water purifiers from now on and begin being a lot more selective in what i purchase.

Working on my garden I look over at the neighbor, oh a couple of times a week, and see this Grandma (who has children and grandchildren) spraying poison on the ground. It's all she knows to do...guess that her folks didn't PULL weeds like mine.
It's all I can do to keep from yelling, and of course being seen as the crazy lady of the neighborhood... Here I am, a person Without children and I Care More about the world I leave behind...
Oh, and MY Garden is kicking butt...WITHOUT Chemicals I might Add

times have changed somewhat cookie
people are more sick now and yet on more chemical medication than ever before in history.... Americans take more meds than any other nation yet we are not getting better. makes me wonder, we trust too many people prescribing chemicals to shove down our throats.
thank God i dont take any medication and i remain healthy, thats how the body is designed... eat correctly and you will never get ill. And this is how i will be till i die, i will not take mammas little helper... its toxic.

if thats all you have in you CC, then you are healthy in mind, body and soul... as long as you leave the chemical meds alone. Watch the water tho, use purifiers to prevent digestive problems.

thats so funny and true at the same time. wouldnt it be nice if we went back to the barter system and cut out all of those who are "looking after us", yup they not doing it for the money... they are "just looking after us"  like i am not buying that at all
