Its now the second day of my holiday weekend.....and i was off this morning to a car show in the next town.....but on the way over...it started to rain....and sure enough..when we got over there..they were all pulling out to go home.....a whole high school parking lot full of classic cars.....leaving before we got a chance to look at them up close.....all we could do is to pull off the road and watch them pass by thru a windshield full of rain drops as the wipers slamed back and forth.....what a show it was gonna be too....bet there were well over 200 cars there.....and as far as cooking out today.....looks like my to slabs of pork ribs will be cooked in my oven.....theres a twlight zone marathon on the sci-fi channel.....so i guess ill have to make do with what ive been dealt today....not gonna go see the fireworks tonite.....ive kind of outgrown them over the years....i do have six coronias in the fridge with fresh lemmons to slice and shimmy down that long necked bottle.....so i guess that saying is true...when life gives you lemmons....go buy a six pack of coronias.....words to live by......and ive got my holiday nap to look forward to as well......so as far as being screwed by nature.......i think having the mother of invention will win out today......plus...im still going fishing in the morning come rain or shine.....so enjoy the holiday my friends......i sure am.......cookie....

You just cant steriotype cookie....over the years ive been forced to make changes....and im not really a drinker anymore.....but when i do drink.....im a coronia man....with lemmons...not lime.....really need to try it sometime....tastes just like strong lemmomaid.....cause each drink is filtered thru the lemmons you ease down those long necked bottles....but be aware.....they can sneek up on you fast....cookie

I had plans too that were rained out. I did my nails and took a nap while watching "Twilight Zone" lol. Now it is clearing so I will need to get some steaks & corn on the cob for the grill. No beer just lemonaid. Maybe some vodka to go with the fireworks that I still love. The dogs are so afraid already and welcome the closed in room down the basement. So maybe a run to Wisconsin for more illegal explosives is in order.

Would you believe it's 1:28 in the morning and we just pulled into the driveway and I walked into the house and now down comes the rain. Whewwww, just back from an afternoon and evening of fishing, cooking out and fireworks and just made it in the house just in time before rain. Lucky I guess. So now the sweet sound of rain on the roof to put us to sleep because I am really tired, and after this comment, I am going to sleep. Happy Independence Day All ...... Take care Lost
