None of us like making mistakes, and some hate admitting when they’ve blatantly messed up, but accidents happen, life goes on and humans will always flounder one way or another… but there are 10 mistakes that one can do the level best to never make.
1) Trusting too quickly.
2) Involving money between friends
3) Co-signing on a loan
4) Involving ones self in other peoples arguments, (especially marital)
5) Taking sides when you’ve only heard one side.
6) Living outside of one’s means
7) Lying to protect another
8) Lying to one’s self
9) Lying to police and officials
10) And finally, pledge important promises that you know in your heart you cannot keep.
All of the above will at some point come back to haunt, and take a proverbial bite right out of your derriere!!!!!!

yep ya chose a good list! and boy did I make number 1..2 7 and 8 with my EX BEST FRIEND....who left me holding the bag wondering "What jus happened here?"
Now I understand why one of his wives tried to poison him!....lol maybe the next woman will let the Karma ensue!
I found out he even is calling me names....to a friend I introduced him to....while he was on MY COMPUTER! I dare anyone to beat that one! lol...   
oh well...like I say...fodder for a book...and he can fill most of it!(maybe is why he deleted some of my files on my computer?) tricky one that one!

I have lent money to a friend, who quickly became an ex friend and never paid it back, some friend. I learned my lesson. Grrrrrr.

Good write, CHARLIgurl. These mistakes are okay to make, so long as you can learn from them. I have made a few of the mistakes listed above, and I am not ashamed to admit them. I make all kinds of mistakes all the time. I have NOT learned how to control number one listed above.

Great word to live by Charlie! Isn't it strange that when you follow these rules to protect your derriere the people who want to use you get mad? My most recent is a friend that I have had for 7 years wanted to borrow $30,000. I told her I wouldn't refinance my home and poof! She won't return my calls.
P.S. Frantastic, I can beat that one easily................ However it is the past and I have learned valuable lessons from it, so all is not lost.

But have you noticed theres a toll to enter Wales from England, the Welsh want the money.. but theres no toll to leave Wales.. why?
Cos so many are leaving at such high speed they dont get a chance to stop and charge them.

On a serious note, when they built the first Severn Crossing, they said the fee would not be applicable after it was completed. They never honoured it.
THEN they build the second.
The Second Severn Crossing has been sold to the French.
BUT, the maintenance lies with us.
What's that all about?
We also sell our gas to the French, apparently we have nowhere to store it, then we buy it back at extortionate prices.
As I'm in a political mood here, which is extremely rare for me, did you also know the fraud squad (whoever they are) are currently looking into the faiilings of Rover?
