Everyone has an opinion about Sarah Palin and so do I. I'm of the belief that she and her husband had the 'run of things' in Alaska. It was a real real cushy job... but her acceptance to run with John McCain opened herself to scrutiny she (nor her husband) had considered.

I could speculate that it's possible something negative was about to happen in her position as Governor of Alaska and it was best advised she steps down now quashing (or making a deal) to keep any future attempt of whatever it is from permanently blemishing her political career. If that's the case, as radical a move to abruptly resign would be a better long-term career move.

No one reading this blog is the 'fly on the wall' at the Palin house and knows the true reason for her resignation. It was too quick. It's "I'm outta here for personal reasons" and her poorly prepared speech (like some of her other speeches) was a series of ramblings. There is much more to it than the media has printed and more than the words that came from her lips.

What's next for Pailin? I say the tour circuit. She can earn a far greater salary touring the country giving speeches than she could as Governor. She reported $500,000 debt so public speaking or some upfront money for a book deal is probably the quickest way to recover financially.

What we do know.

Sarah Palin walked out on Alaska.

Her own party is calling this what it is, quitting.

Pretty much everything else is an unknown.

She said she was stepping down because while she stayed as govenor, more money would be spent on replying to attacks from the media..

She had already gotten rid of the state plane, the state cook, everywhere she could save money for Alaska she did.. which is more than I can say for some polititions.

She has left Alaska thriving, and as for abandoning Alaska, this is false as she is remaining as an advisor.

Why isnt John Mc Cain being hounded like this?

I heard someone call her an attention whore.. I dont think that any woman would want the kind of unwelcome attention she was getting.

No matter what she does she will be condemned because she is a threat in the next election, so anyone who just watched the far left tv channels will only hear poison.

Personally, I think maybe she has a little more going for herself integritywise than she's been given credit for. Maybe...just MAYBE....she's had enough of politics and all the downside that comes with it and decided she'd had enough of the backstabbing & bullsh*t that comes with it...

Just a thought...

Believe me, if the media had a clue they would have already printed it along with
blowing it way out of purportion, and outright lies like the liberal media always does.

I just happen to have a cousin that lives in Wasilla and knows Sarah and her family personally, and knew her before she was governor so you go ahead and speculate all you want but you don't have a clue, nor does the media, and I'm loving it.

Everything but the fact that she did quit is really an unknown for now. Justify it, criticize it, but the fact is, she walked out on the job.

but the fact is, she walked out on the job.

Yes she did.. and a job she did VERY WELL, which is why she's such a threat in 2012

I watched the news today and several Senators walked out on the job as well, like John Edwards because he got caught cheating and a number of others due to corruption or running around with women while being married. Seems like that's more acceptable than leaving a job to change careers. No big deal is being made over them like it is being made over her leaving a job to better herself according to her own speech. Give me a break. Many people change jobs and careers, she's left it in capable hands and I'm sure she will be there to help out if need be, so it's not the end of the world. Lost

Trinity, unless she plans to head up the Alaskan Independence Party and succeed from the United States... There isn't much I would consider newsworthy.

"I just happen to have a cousin that lives in Wasilla..."

You know Trinity... there's something musical about that statement.

I don't understand the purpose of this blog. To me it just seems like this is an attempt to use assumptions to talk bad about a person. The blog even states that no one has any idea as to why she quite

. So since no one has any idea as to why she is quitting, why make up reasons for her?

Whatever happened to giving people the benefit of the doubt? Instead we jump to conclusions. We usually come to good conclusions when it is someone we like and bad conclusions when it is someone we don't like. That is too bad. Everyone should get treated equal and not treated as to how we feel about that person.

I don't understand the purpose of this blog...

It was to express my opinion. Wasn't that clear enough for you?

since no one has any idea as to why she is quitting, why make up reasons for her?

Within my blog, I was speculating. It appears you have a problem with that.

I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't join a show like The View. I think that would actually help her speak in public. Plus, it would get her the publicity she needs....

I think it would serve the country best and the media fine if she just became a hooker in Vegas. She could get top dollar don't ya think?

The overall quality of our elected officials continues to slip and Palin is certainly no exception. When power and money are involved, there will always be corruption and until we see a day where such corruption carries a life sentence at hard labor, or dare I say the death penality, the "peoples business" will never be safe.

The penality of any crime should be a reflection of the damage it has caused. Only when a person must put into perspective the cost for their consiquences will we see proper and well balanced justice ... and a sesation of such foolishness.

To paraphrase, I am going to help with solutions and will work with people of both parties. Her book and public speaking will try to redefine her and possibly the face of the Republican party.
