I just thought I would share with you a few words of wisdom told to my by a wise person some years ago and I have often thought of it. It was during a time that I was having self esteem issues, and although a seemingly simple concept, it really helped me to see what at the time I had not been seeing. Maybe by my sharing it, it may help someone else.
"Imagine the people of the world being in two categories. The first category are the "peaches." They are popular, some have careers and financial stability, ~ they are outgoing, attractive, and they normally get the guy/girl.
The second are the "plums." They are sweet, but quiet. They are the wallflowers, maybe a little nerdy, not popular with the peach people. They have jobs, but maybe not careers. Maybe crowds intimidate them. They are so shy that meeting others that could be possible mates, is really difficult.
The thing to remember is this.... Although it's more than likely that most people in general will search out and love to find a "peach," there will always be those that not only would LOVE a plum, but actually prefer them!!!!!!!!!!!!!
