Sometimes it seems we are too busy even for ourselves,
Never seeming to make time to do the things we really need to do.
Tasks, deeds, efforts and just general maintenance, there’s a long list of them.

Make that call

Trip to the doctor

Lose that weight

Make that visit

Mow that grass

Paint that room

Give up smoking

Change that light bulb

Trip to the vet

Clean that oven

Change the air conditioning filters

Mend the broken object

Trip to the dry cleaners

Remember to buy more batteries

Clear out that closet

Tidy the yard

And while I am saddened to say that all of the above applies to me, I am sure you have seen at least one that applies to you too, and all we have to ask ourselves now is..

When?

while most on your list are not a priority to me, the one that is most important in my opinion.... "make that call"

Make that call to a family member or friend you haven't spoken to in a long time.
Make that call to someone you know is going through a difficult time
Make that call to someone you know going through a blessed event just to give congratulations

We often don't make that call until it's too late

When?

When I get to it!..

Most of the list.. except maybe the grass or changing a light bulb when I can't see in the dark, is not a priority..

When married, I had a good list of "honey do's" every weekend.. What I find interesting, I'm single, I still have the kids, I don't have a list of "honey do's", I don't pressure myself to do all things my ex used to tell me "has to get done".. and you know what?? I'm living a less cluttered, less stressful, less messy life now than I had with the list of "has to get done" things that were planned for me before... I haven't figured out how that has happened.. but I'm not complaining either!

gf you should see my list .........I do get to it and I always have my handy notebook ready to go

Everyday I look to see what is priority.......and of course I make room for those around me
