live a full life and don't waste all the wonderful things they are blessed with. I will choose to celebrate those that care for and protect children. I will choose to celebrate those that do not engage in self-destruction and are too cowardly to face their problems sober, clean, and with integrity. I think it is in poor taste to celebrate or put on a pedestal a Michael Jackson, even if he was a groundbreaking artist. Which he was. There are thousands of grown adults including myself that live with and deal with being abused sexually, physically, and emotionally with a lot more courage and integrity than Michael Jackson ever did. He had so much and yet it was never enough to make him happy.
