(just another bit of rambling from under the troll bridge)

saw her today, her looks are fading fast
now a days her diamonds are mostly glass
but I still remember when she was so fine
remember for a short time she was mine
when she wasn't much more than a child
but already running free and running wild
always knew that I'd never keep her
I would lose her to a midnight creeper
at that time all that did not matter
all that counted was that I had her
she wasn't just a mere heartbreaker
oh, she was a deep down soul shaker
she'd leave you feeling inside out
standing scratching your head in doubt
hotter than the pistol I was packing
there wasn't anything she was lacking
she was to much for one man to handle
burning from both ends of the candle
she had sugar daddies paying the bills
kept her in jaguars and coupe DeVilles
but that's not how I found her today
her face was sad, hair turning gray
said to late she realized I was the one
if I took her back could still have some fun
for a minute I was tempted I cannot deny
but no longer would I fall victim to that lie
one time I would've gladly gave you my name
but I'm too old now for you to run that game
said no baby we can't recapture yesterday
your in my past and that where you will stay

age catches all.... but at least she enjoyed life to the full in youth
many are too afraid to take the risk

Its kind of funny.....i bought a new lawn mower a few weeks ago.....and gave my ex my old one.....not to be nice......but she needed one and i had no use for it.....well...i dropped it off at her house while she was at work......and she ended up calling me......first time we had talked in well over a year.....and she started talking about the good times we use to have together......asked me if i ever still think about them.....told her i didnt and was glad she had a use for my old lawn mower....and hung up......after sixteen years of divorced.....why would anybody want to look back at what was?.......i dont have to look back very far to remember what broke us up to begin with....... .....turn the page.......cookie
