If the sky didn't fall what is the bail outs and trillions being spent about! My friends hours were cut and she is forced to sell her home. She is not one of the toxic mortgages, but; her income went down $700 a month and each month she has to dip into her savings. She fears things may get worse for her and should try to preempt a possible worse situation. She will not end up in the street cause she has loyal friends, but; for this lady chicken little the sky has fallen and may fall more. Amazingly she feels lucky at this time, cause some at work have fallen on much harder times. So in reflection I guess as to how far the sky is fallen depends on who you ask. However, I believe those that will not acknowledge the sky has fallen considering the millions of stories as above, government bail outs in the trillions, major corporations skeletons of what they were, banking, financial and insurance giants in total disarray with out government borrowed printed money are either not in touch with reality or so steeped in their political ideology they either can't or will not acknowledge this. We can debate which party is worse, if steps taken and will be taken will be effective and if the sky will fall more, but; in reality there is no debate that the sky has fallen. As for my personal situation and possibly being thought of as a chicken as in chicken little I give you a bit of my fiancial affairs that can't be disputed. One can be retired physically and still be paying into the system, there by being eligible for social security at 62. I will be 62 soon and as I wish fo all my financial situation will dramatically improve if the sky doesn't fall to earth. This is not a political statement, except in regard to there are to many so steeped in political ideology they will not acknowledge a wrong if they feel it will impair their ideology or political party.
