Friends,

Yesterday while watching the news I saw Illinois was in trouble again...no not some senate seat that was up to the highest bidder but that graves were being re-sold after people were already in them.

It seems the almighty dollar even has an effect on our dead! The story goes workers at the cemetary had dug up over 300...yes 300 plots and removed the old coffins and dumped them in some shallow grave so the plots could be re-sold!!! WTF???

Or worse yet if the graves couldn't be re-dug up they would pound them further into the ground so "new" graves could be buried on top of them...

Could you imagine going to see a passed on loved one only to find out he/she isn't there anymore?

The reason this story hits home is because my mother had told me that when my Grandfather was buried...my grandmother was told not to bury him with any jewelry or anything that was of value because there was no gurantee's that he would have it on him once he was put in the ground. WTF????

The story on my grandfather...was in 1967 when he died. So it seems this shit has been going on forever.

My grandfather and 2 uncles are buried in the same cemetary and I often have wonders what is going on over there at their final resting place. I try to go when I can but being over 3 hours away it can be difficult. Last time I was there everything was in place but if something wasn't? The first cemetary employee would have some serious explaining to do.

What a shame to go and see a loved one only to find out they aren't were they are suppose to be. What's next?
