Unlike some, I have nothing against cut and pasters. I prefer they give their own opinions in their own words, use the quote box provided and give credit to the writer of that quote, but if all they do is cut and paste a quote and give credit, then that's fine by me. We are all inspired by different things and sometimes want to share them and it's clear some here are happy to read the stuff too.
However, I do have something against those who blatantly copy and paste stuff from the internet and pass it off as their own in order to appear wise and intelligent.
There was something funny about her from the start, something not quite right about the primary picture, you get me? It might be her, it might not, but sometimes, just sometimes I look at a picture and my instincts are telling me "this person just aint right". I read her profile and it's pigeon English, I read her blogs and they're perfect English, not only that, they're spiritually interesting and clever, she's forming an army of admiring friends who can't get enough of her wisdom, but to me, something just aint right.
Googling 3 blogs proves my instincts are correct. Literally the whole blog can be found written by someone else in an internet article or spiritual web site. Of course I want to report her, I'm a snitch, bite me! But before I do that I give her a chance. Maybe she doesn't understand the blog rules, she's from another country, maybe her command of the English language isn't so good, God knows I don't speak anything other than my native tongue. Maybe she's not internet literate, again I knew nothing myself when I first came to this site, had to ask around for tips. Maybe she might be grateful. I post a comment on her most recent plagiarised blog informing her politely she should really put the writer's quote in a quote box. At that point the writer's name is still mentioned within the body of the blog. She replies "if you don't like, move on, don't write me, I ignore" ... that familiar Pigeon English again. Then she blocks me. I was only saying credit should be given where credit's due, that's all, no big deal at that point but she's made it one now. To top it all, when I take another look at the offending blog she's removed the writer's name altogether. Talk about adding insult to injury.
Well I won't stop till she does. I'm on a mission and you know why? Because everything she does goes completely against the ethics of the Buddhist people. Buddha wouldn't steal another's words and pass them off as his own, Buddha wouldn't tell someone to go away and ignore them after because they pointed out an error he'd made, he'd welcome it. I'm not a Buddhist but I do know generosity of spirit, being open to all opinions and ideas and the acceptance of individuals to their right to express themselves in their individuality as long as it's not hurting anyone else would be approved of within the Buddhist culture.
Angel has blogged ... thanks for reading.

That may be very true of Buddha, but, it is definitely true of Jesus Christ, and yet, in both cases, I have met very few people who call themselves their followers, who are actually in step behind them; or, who are even trying to be.
I admire your efforts though, and the way you wrote this blog was very polite and respectful, considering how strongly you obviously feel on the subject.

*ahem* I wrote and asked who you were talking about, but, I think I know, now.
All I can say is that Buddhists are also not supposed to be violence-mongering whores who actively preach hatred toward others, insult Jesus and God for a laugh, and who used to claim to be from one country but now claim to be from another.
I don't ascribe to their beliefs, at least the ones that don't fall in with Christian beliefs, but, I do know that they are generally peaceful, accepting people by tenents of faith, so to speak.
Something is fishy in Denmark, and all the peroxide in the world won't cover that smell!

Hero already wrote Plagiarism alert! and on that blog, Borty, CC, expressed that we enjoyed the stuff she chooses to bring to MD. I will list them at the end of this comment. I am not my brothers keeper so i will not tell her what to do, there is a language barrier and i dont have the time to explain all this to her. As i told you Angel, she is learning english while she speaks 4 other languages i cannot recall which at this moment. Also she isnt making any money as a result of it and thousands of people do exactly the same all over the net as well as in other areas. So, i guess i am asking you guys, what will you gain by busting her?
I have limited time on MD, and i enjoy reading all of your blogs... especially hers because her message is thought provoking. I, like others, enjoy the material she chooses to bring here... i dont have the time to find the spiritual articles she pastes but i grow as a result of them and for that i am grateful. Spiritually is where my interests and aptitude lies even tho i come across as dizzy. Again i am asking you guys, please dont take this learning away from me and others, its not as if she is selling this material to us.
Borty's comment:
I hope you guys don't pull the plug...I enjoy reading both of you... CC's comment:
she makes some good choices of material...
let her learn to properly attribute works. My comment:
i am with Borty on this one. anyway whether it be writing or music... someone will always be there to run with it. after all its very difficult to police...
i do agree credit should be given to the author if we choose to use their works everywhere, not only on these blogs... but i am not the police.
ageed CC, language barriers can be so difficult.
As long as there is no money made from this i see no point.

It took me about 3 e-mails to figure out that it was either two or more people, someone so busy trying to fool others that they couldn't keep up with their own shenanigans, or someone seriously disturbed.
My conclusion is that it's all three. There's nothing admirable about deceiving people, and there's nothing admirable about stealing literature and having people call it thought provoking. It was thought provoking in it's original context, now it's shameful copyright infringement that lessens the value of the material.
It's just someone trying to start crap because they didn't get enough hugs as a child.

To help set the record straight as to whether it's plagiarism or not, whether she's who she says she is is irrelevant, the evidence here speaks for itself.

I have VERY strong feelings where plagiarism is concerned & anyone who is familiar with me is aware of that. Anyone who supports this type of thievery & lying needs to take a good look at themselves. It is not acceptable. IMO, it is much akin to taking someone elses photograph & passing it off as your own. You are not that person...you don't deserve the good looks or the bad looks...and you are being deceitful with those who look at the photograph & think it is you. It seems that periodically, we have to deal with this issue again & again. And imlost mentions something I had not considered, but it makes good sense. Perhaps this person IS indeed someone reincarnated from a previous profile here. Who knows...but thievery is thievery & lying is lying....
It's wrong.

BTW, in my years of experience on line, it is generally a very good indicator that someone is "fake" when they only have one, maybe a couple of images of themselves & the rest of their images are pretty pictures of STUFF.
Personally, I've never read the person in question, as like yourself, from the time she hit the pages here, there was something funny about her from the start.

I also have extremely strong feelings about stealing another's words and ideas and passing them off as their own.
While I'm still in the character-building process of finding an agent for my novel, I have made my living at writing articles and newsletters. It hasn't paid all the bills, but it is something.
So when someone cuts and pastes words, without attribution, it is theft. It can and has taken money directly out of another's pocket. It is not a petty, unserious crime.

Anyone who writes someone else's words and doesn't give credit to the original author is stealing. No different than miss representing someone at a bank.
Writers have a hard enough time making money as it is.

I just read this, but honestly could not make heads or tails out of the broken English it is written in.
I couldn't hold my fingers down before I typed the following comment:
Well, when people read your broken English in this posting, then it should become quite obvious to them that you are stealing the well written postings you have been blogging here.

Well being me...I can feel free to say I thought she was fake and full of bullshit from the start...That's just me though. I could of told you all that a while back but I have to admit I was kinda enjoying the show...
And finally, someone else noticed her hairstyle isn't from the past 3 decades

The bottom line is this:
Is MD better of with or without that particular blogger, and her nearly daily blogs?
Decide, and act accordingly.
P.S. there are 350 members online right now, as I write, and less than two pages of blogs posted in the last 24 hours.

I watched the online membership of this site plummet from about 1200 at night to its present 350.
That was done by people insulting each other and imitating a dog eating his own vomit, only to spew it again in another blog or comment.
If you want to continue to enjoy this site, just pass by those who you dislike, and move on. One more big blog war, us against them, and your blogs and comments will be to an empty site.
JUST LET THE DAMN THING GO ! ! !
