Yes it is...I woke up this morning and checked my email...then here...and I was left still wondering 
Many times life doesn't seem fair and your left feeling like a truck trying to go under an overpass only to get stopped short because you don't fit, then your left with the weight of the overpass resting on your shoulders until help comes.
Why did you try? when you know you couldn't...why did you think you really mattered? when you didn't... these questions I can now stop asking myself.
It never mattered to me if I wasn't first always but it does matter for me if I was even thought of at the end of the day.
The answer I seek were always in front of me...I just needed to be sure of what I read.
One chance only...but this wasn't true...what is true is to many chances ruin things that shouldn't be this hard in the first place..

Yes, we all have those times...but just put yourself into reverse and find another route around that overpass...Your own route, because really each of us has to walk our own path...sometimes others join us and sometimes they leave, just keep trucking

I hear you Lynn and I totally understand. Sometimes you just wonder what it was that you did wrong. But then I have come to the conclusion that you don't have to do anything wrong. Things happen for a reason. You are a wonderful friend and it would be a great loss to lose the friendship of someone as special as you.

Life is full of twists and turns.. sometimes we hit dead ends.. sometimes the road just seems to go on forever with no ending..
But we do end up somewhere eventually, its just taking the right turn at the right time.

Yes, Lynn, I know what you are saying too. I have had friends on here that either left without a word, or just decided for whatever reason that they were not happy about conversing with me any more. Never with any explanation that made any sense and I know that I had done nothing..... I just don't get it either.
I SO feel your pain, but at least in my case, most of the ones I am thinking of are friends with me again.
That is a pretty poem, thanks for sharing.
Oh, I may not be efficient and fast about answering emails, but if you reach out to me, I will answer you. You are my friend, and that is important to me.

Friendship should not be difficult. There may be some things that arise in friendships that are difficult.......yes.......but friends work through them together.....never alone.

Friendship is not an entitlement but a privelege. To abuse the good will of others doesn't mean that we can abuse others either by action or word and expect that our friendships will last. That is how the world has ended up in the mess it is currently in. Too many people feeling that they are entitled to friendship and love and yet they fail to show up either in actions or words to deserve such an entitlement, if it ever existed in the first place. Anyone whom would tolerate such a cheap exchange of love and friendship, would do wise to look in the mirror and ask themselves this question. If you do not love and respect yourself, then who will? For certainly no man or woman that would allow themselves to be treated so poorly.
