all roads lead to politics. Clinton's 96 welform reform act basically stated if you are healthy and there is a job available we will help you in getting this job, but; you must take it. In 96 Obama opposed this reform, but; changed his tune when becoming the front runner while compaigning. On should understand relaxing the rules of the reform in regard to federal money allocated to the states considering the recession, but; buried in the stimulus package was the gutting of this reform on a permanent basis, considering the political climate. By the way, welfare rolls went down in every state and there were many glad to get the help and the job. So why gut the program? Two gold fish in a bowl, one asks the other who you going to vote for, the other replies the guy who feeds us each morning. Just my opinion of course, but; if you have a better reason I am always open to ideas.
