One of my bosses, who happens to be one of my best fireds...had her baby last night.
She and her husband have always wanted a girl. They have two boys. Twice in the last 3 years she has been pregnant and they had to "take" the baby due to complications. The last one, she was in a hospital in Philidelphia and almost died. Two blood transfusions

This pregnancy was miraculous! They told her it was a girl...what she has dreamed about ....
Trouble since 6 weeks ago. She was put on bed rest. In and out of the hospital....

Two weeks ago, she was put on bed rest in the hospital....

As a boss, we got on each others nerves each and every day!
As my best friend...I missed the daily banter and sharing of personal "dirt" if you will. I missed her so much! I went to see her friday night. She felt and looked great! She was 32 weeks along....

Yesterday, she text me that she started gushing blood and they were taking the baby within the hour! I couldn't breath! I knew little Emmy would be fine. The best hospital for premies....it was her I was worried about. She could die...

I admit it...I completely freaked out waiting to hear....

When I heard that the baby was ok...I was so grateful

Then, I waited and waited and waited to hear about her. Finally, the text I was waiting for ....mother and daughter are doing well.....

Crazy, didn't cry until I heard that she was ok....

So....premee...5 lbs...17 inches...not bad...and doing well.
Mother doing well..........

What am I grateful for? Little Emmy will be ok, and my best friend is alive!
