Oz the Great and Powerful is on his way home.
Back to Wyoming.
Back to me.
I am relieved. I was worried sick about him. Apparently he was miserable in Seattle, and lonely. He howled a lot. In fact he received angry notes from his neighbors saying that his singing was not appreciated. I know just how that feels. I get them all the time too.
I have no eye dear how I am gonna deal with a Siberian Husky while living in the back of the shop on Center Street in downtown Casper Wyoming, but we will figure it out, one day at a time.
Together.
I am grateful for this second chance. I don't know if it is because I am getting older, or if it really is his personality, or a bit of both, but I really love this guy. More so than any dog I have ever known.
I used to think he was my dog. Now I think I am his human. He has taught me a lot. He taught me how to fetch. I fetch for him all the time. And he has taught me to turn around 3 times before laying down. I sleep better now.
I have taught him a lot too. He likes steak the best.
And raw baby carrots.
He will be here in a few hours. 
I can't wait. He will be so happy to be back where he belongs.
My daughter is bringing him to me.
She recognized the problem in both me and Oz....she saw we needed each other. I don't think I was howling though. But she says she was worried about me. Somehow...she knew.
And so she is driving him home, and gonna visit for a few days.
She is my Angel. She always has been my Angel. She has saved my life more than once. The first time was the day she was born. I learned all about love that day.
And now she is doing it again. 
I can't wait to see her as well....

This is one of the sweetest blogs I have read in a long time. Says something about a man that can pay tribute not only to his daughter but to his dog as well. Some dogs should have been humans, I think!
Love of animals is a healing and peaceful thing.. glad your Oz is coming home

Baby girl and Oz, no day could be more perfect than this one. My baby girl too is home now. And I cried when she walked in the door. Smell her hair for me will you? It's my favorite.....

Tunes.......I am soooo happy to hear that The Great and Powerful Oz is on his way back home to you........where he rightfully belongs. I also cried, I'm so happy.  And the visit from you daughter is just icing on the already sweetest cake. I can not wait to hear about his reaction to seeing you!

I knewed OZ would be back one day.. and kudos to your daughter for recognizing the need in you both for each other. You are correct.. you are HIS human... not the other way around.
Never sweat keeping him in the back of your shop.. dogs don't need much room if they have the heart of the one person / human they love close to them.
Sorta / kinda like simple folk....
And I always do stay tuned... ALWAYS...

I've got 5 dogs and I can't imagine being separated from them for any reason. Sometimes they may drive me a little crazy, but I love them all the same.

awwwww Tunes...where there is love...there is communication that needs no words or sounds...the heart hears it al! I am soooo glad I have my sweet Baby (dog....form anyway) else I could not bear to bear daily situations...she keeps us afloat.....You and Oz the Great and Powerful are pieces of the same spirit!
