 I don't know what's going on lately but there seems to be so many people taking their lives are trying to. When you read about it in the paper is bad enough but the last month it's got a lot closer to home. In June of my son-in-laws tried and almost succeeded to take his own life due to failing business. Earlier this a friend I work with was going thru a breakup and decide he couldn't take it anymore, shot himself. Then one of my grandson's friends, 19 and pregnant with twins, hung herself. Why are so many reaching the point to where they feel that death is the only way to end the pain?

I understand completely Rain I just kind of talking to myself here trying to make some sense out of it. I know a person can get in some dark places, been there myself, lucky it was one of the many things I didn't get right back in my wonder years. ..... peace to you and everyone else

Studies show that suicides increase in economic down cycles such as the one we are having now. It's pretty obvious why that is so. Economics and politics have more than just an effect on money. They have a powerful effect on peoples' psyches and mood. Economics is a life and death science in more ways than one.

There is no sense to it. None. I've seen it from both sides. I do think that the ways most families aren't as close as they used to be has something to do with it. Sometimes all they needed was someone to say they cared. Maybe just someone period. Just to let them know they aren't alone.

I can't speak for everyone that has been in my shoes and succeeded and those like me that failed in the attempt.
But for my own reasons, I saw no end to the cycle of pain and disappointment. That's about as simple of an answer that I can give.

I can honestly say that ive been there before......for years.....i never could figure out why anybody would want to take themselves out......but a few years ago......i was at the brink of doing it......the idea just came into my head one day......out of nowhere.....the very first thing i did was pray to god to take the pain away.....and he took it......ive now realized its not the way to deal with what is out of your hands......you live to fight another day.........cookie

You know I will sound crazy to many people,but Christ is returning soon ( It might not be in my lifetime,but soon ) And Satan knows this. There will be every evil thoughts and lies thrown into peoples minds. The best thing is just have faith in God,and realize alot of people are going through it,not only you.

People think that those who commit suicide are against life - they are not. They are too lusty for life, they have great lust for life; and because life is not fulfilling their lust,in anger, in despair, they destroy themselves.
Transform your life.Question the values that you have accepted. Question all that you have been brought up to believe in. Question the way you have been lived up to now. Question your mechanicalness, question your robot like existence.
And your life will have a new intelligence arising in it.
