My boy and I like to go out to eat. We probably do it too much, but with just the two of us, it's often easier and faster than cooking at home.

Today it was out favorite Chinese buffet.

Since he's 7, he likes to carry his own plate and pick out his food and I supervise in the background.

When we got to the table, i asked him what was on his plate.

T: It's chicken.
M; Looks like Garlic Chicken to me.
T: Mom, what's Garlic Chicken?
M: It's chicken with garlic on it.
T: Do you like garlic?
M: Yes, I do...especially in spaghetti.
T: Vampires don't like garlic.
M: (smothering a laugh). No, they don't, but I'm not a vampire and neither are you.
T: But I've been bit by a vampire before.







I thought I was going to have to give CPR to the old man sitting behind him!
