Up at the crack of dawn, logged on, read the blogs, weeded the flowerbeds, walked 3 miles, made sausage gravy for the sleeping kid, and getting ready to shower and head to wally world to pick up groceries for the week. Need to stop by the home improvement store and get some lime, canning jars to can my chili starter, oh and order the paneling to be delivered. Whew... I need to step away from the coffee pot...lol
Yep, it's finally a quiet Saturday....lol. Well, compared to my last few, today is a quiet day. The yard is finally cleaned up from the two tornados, and all the wood is stacked nice a purdy along the property line. I won't have to buy wood for this winter. My neighbors, bless them, had all 11 trees on our street cut up and split and had it moved to my yard. All my son and I had to do was move it and stack it. I am so blessed. The only damage to the house was a good size branch embedded in the soffet on the back of the house. My neighbor replaced the soffet and all is fixed. We got together last weekend and helped my neighbor that is on the lake front to replace his roof and repair the ceiling and walls in his master bedroom. He had two trees go through his roof and though the bedroom. Thank God they weren't there when the storm hit. We are all very lucky up here on our little mountain. It could have been much worse.
