I hear it, read it, and watch it. Day in and day out. Morons spouting off their opinions on our government and it's programs. Sure there has been a few lame duck out there, great ideas that were mishandled and completely put in the wrong hands. No child left behind, for example, great idea, but didn't work do to the lack of what? Funding, good job there Bushy jr. FEMA anyone? If you believe what most republicans are puking up on t.v, radio, news papers and even blogs, they would have you believe that the sky is falling. That this great country is coming to its end of days. And it is not. Change isn't always wrong, especially when its growth. The sky isn't falling, we are growing. And that means a lot of ideas and beliefs you held dearly maybe tested and put to rest.
Its like they completely forgot where they live, what it means to be here, and how we got here. Oh no big bad government, they cant do anything right. Last time I checked, American was the greatest country in the world. And why is that? Is it just the people that work day in and day out, is it just the wall street white collars? Is not the blue collars and even the brown collars, that make up some of this greatness? I mean our government is full of morons right, what have they done for you?

At the appropriate time as regulated by the US congress and kept accurate by the national institute of standards and technology and the US naval observatory, I get into my national highway traffic safety administration approved automobile and set out to work on the roads build by the local, state, and federal departments of transportation, possibly stopping to purchase additional fuel of a quality level determined by the environmental protection agency, using legal tender issued by the federal reserve bank. On the way out the door I deposit any mail I have to be sent out via the US postal service and drop the kids off at the public school.
After spending another day not being maimed or killed at work thanks to the workplace regulations imposed by the department of labor and the occupational safety and health administration, enjoying another two meals which again do not kill me because of the USDA, I drive my NHTSA car back home on the DOT roads, to my house which has not burned down in my absence because of the state and local building codes and fire marshal's inspection, and which has not been plundered of all it's valuables thanks to the local police department.
I then log on to the internet which was developed by the defense advanced research projects administration and post on freerepublic.com and fox news forums about how SOCIALISM in medicine is BAD because the government can't do anything right. America is great. The systems work not perfect but great. I love this country just as much as the next guy. But look as hard as I can I see no sky falling. It was a PAC that ran the adds saying things like, he got grazed by a bullet and got a purple heart Interviewing others, who said the knew him and he wasnt a hero and got medals for things he didnt do. Basically slandered his character. The RNC distanced themselves and said it didnt come from them.

Each member of congress regardless of party affliliation has his own view on the issues. These are complex difficult issues to deal with, and in a representative congress, there is always going to be a lot of wrangling to reach some sort of agreement. Who knows what the ideal outcome might be?
Another point is very few of you even understand the issues. They aren't simple and take an enormous amount of research and study to even begin to comprehend them. Most of you get your opinions second hand from some moron on a morning radio talk show. Then you get angry because you're basically angry to begin with probably from you few accomplishments in life.
