I have been so busy lately. Work, home, family and that whole friend crisis that i managed to get in the middle of.
I haven't had a darn minute for myself all summer.
Today i'm officially reclaiming summer. Grandma is taking the lad to Grandpas to go swimming and possibly staying the night and my best friend and i are going to spend the afternoon with sun, beer and music on my back deck. Captain Morgan will be making an appearance i'm sure.
This summer has been alive with Camping trips, Fishing trips,The Beach, Detroit and Toledo Zoo, Ohio, Up North, Fairs and parades and just about everything in between. I realized last week that i spent 15 consecutive days having "fun" time with the family.
Sometimes, you just need to get away.
Instead of getting away, we are going to pretend that we're on vacation somewhere. I have no energy to drive or fly anywhere for a real one, so this is just as good.
Remember when Al Bundy roped off the sofa and went on vacation? "Daddy's on vacation kids!"
That's me today. Just without the wife and without an 80's looking house.
As of this minute, i am on vacation.
