Uexpectedme

SAFE INSIDE THE HARBOR



A storm came up
and scared us both
we heard the wind blow
Inside the shaking walls
my heart, alone
still beat with yours

It's not what we planned
but nonetheless
it's how we get there
Safe inside
the harbor

Stops and starts
in fragile hearts
that know no better
Wrap it up
protect it baby
Bar the doors
Write the poetry
but
don't let anybody in

Seize the road
break the compass
the door is open
come on in

Cling to me
together we
can be
each others'
safe harbor
