Congress should be required to give up their present medical health care, and in their place, our Veterans, Soldiers and Military families should have the medical benefits that the Congress and other governmental officials are now enjoying.
The Time Is NOW! Please PASS this on to your family and friends.
Put your organization together and put forth an Addendum-Bill to be added to the FINAL Health Care Reform Bill:
Your organizations must use the proper Format and Steps required to present the Addendum-Bill. Do your research.
The Addendum-Bill will state that:
All of Congress and any other government official will be required to give up their present, government-health-care-benefits, to our Veterans, and U.S. Soldiers, and Military families.
Those government officials may then have the option to find their own health insurance, or they may “PAY” for a government plan (equivalent to); the same benefits allowed for in the present Medicaid plan.
Are you aware that our Veterans medical care is basically equivalent to the Medicaid plan. SHAME ON AMERICA AND OUR GOVERNMENT!
Each State must have some talented people that can put this movement together. It seems only right that
our U.S. Military should have first consideration for the health care that our government officials now enjoy. Only the President and Vice President would continue to enjoy the same medical insurance they have now; that our VETERANS/MILITARY will finally start receiving
once the Addendum-Bill is passed.
This seems logical and fair, don’t you think?
I, for one, would love to see the look on all those government officials faces when they learn that the American people are working on such a plan (Addendum-Bill) with Eager-Earnest! It is long overdue! It may also encourage them to start doing their homework; Report the facts; Stop their false and misleading advertisements and speeches that they have been dishing out to the American people. These special interest groups and government officials have no business using taxpayer’s money to advertise and acquire their own self-interest; and the self-interest of those special interest lobbyists.
Afterall, We Are The People, and We are NOT Dumb.

For SURE, they should have to live under the same benefits they want to create for everyone else.

Ok lets level the playing fields. It should be mandated that the cost of medical and life insurance as paid by the government (federal, state, county and city), by big business, or any insurance that has any part not paid by the insuree by charged as INCOME and tax must be paid on it. So, the people that mst buy insurance is on the same level--everyone has no free ride. Then we have no medical insurance problem. Also the insurance companies shoud be egulated for thy charge above and beyond what the market can stand.
To make this simple--the government and companies like GM, Ford big steel or any company that pays for group insurance--pass on this cost to the employee as wages and therefore taxable.

i for one am sick of the BS the politicians are spewing about "affordable health care". that in it self is an oxymoron. after the government got into health care in the 60's, the costs sky rocketed.
i am a retired vet, but with NO compensable or other wise diagnosed disabilities. so guess what, i have practically NO health benefits for the years i served. and i'm sure i am not the only one in this situation. if i could afford health insurance, i'd have it, but what do i give up to pay for it, my home, food, utilities? or all of the above. and they are going to force it down my throat? i live on my retirement income, and don't have a lot left over for anything fun. and as for emergencies, for get it. the one bright side to my situation tho is that after jumping thru a few odd hoops, i can qualify, if my income is low enough, for some treatment. but the VA health system is full of bugs, and is not known for providing good care, much less decent quality care at most facilities. there are exceptions of course, but they are few.
and out beloved socialist leader wants to ram something down my throat i can neither afford or want. and fine me if i don't buy it. hello comrades. and the uproar at the town meetings isn't representative of the nations feelings? guess who must have bad case of headuptheassitis.
ok, i should have put this in a blog, not a response, i'll get off my soap box now

Are you aware that our Veterans medical care is basically equivalent to the Medicaid plan. SHAME ON AMERICA AND OUR GOVERNMENT! I agree the people who actually are put in harms way (the troops) have less protection and coverage, then those putting them in harms way
Hopefully in 2010 and in 2012 the voters will fire everyone of these morons regardless of party who have called us names and are involved with passing this pile of "CaCa" they have dumped on the American people.
The good news is, more and more Americans from all parties are waking up to what's really going on, instead of going along with all the platitudes and lies, their beginning to realize that real damage that's being done to this country by the so-called party who care's about the little guy!
great blog....
