Over the last year or so, I have noticed a great deal of people finding their loves, either here in MD or in another site or even offline. Some have taken their profiles down. Many have left their profiles up but you see...in a relationship written in their profiles. Usually with a comment that they found their loves.

I noticed a blog today that blames our lack of members on taking away the chat room because of bad people. The chatroom and the IM features were both provided by another company that is having serious issues so the functions were removed due to the malfunctioning programs from announcements that were made to the members.

I have noticed another dating site that had the same company's IM feature took theirs off too. So, I have to go with what both dating sites said...the features did not function properly and the company still charged them good money for bad service.

Some people have left because they were not allowed to freely abuse people here. Some were removed. Some got very busy in their lives and stop back in occasionally. Some have issues with other members and instead of trying to get along and apologizing and forgiving, they leave in a huff. Some got caught doing things they should have resisted doing.

We are adults. Come on, don't try to tell me you REALLY believe that was ok to do? If someone did it to you, I can JUST hear the complaining, blaming and whining. So, I know it is NOT the lack of a chatroom that did the deed on the low membership.

Some people left because the forums got very ugly due to some members' jealousy and bigotry. Some people egged the abusers on for their own attention seeking greed. Got right in the middle of it stirring the pot or causing the attacks by some of their responses to the other people, causing jealous attacks, making up rumors, back stabbing and generally sitting in their webs eating up the attention. Sucking up the drama they stirred up.

That is the way of many of us. The big problem is people keep buying into it. The poor me syndrome. I sit and watch it and wonder at the intelligence levels of the people that go along with it. Ok, so, what I see is they are tired of WATCHING tv soap operas and instead, they live out their soap opera fantasies right here in our own little Peyton Place. (Telling my age here) To each their own.

Yes, this is my tv.... MD. I do not watch television any more. And the damn channel changer here is STUCK on the soap opera channel. Well, till the ones that create the poor me dramas leave for their little breaks. It must be time for the ads! Break time!
