The star wilts today:

The Texas State Board of Education review committee is preparing to vote on a draft of proposed standards for history textbooks. Noting that the draft has "nothing about liberals," the Houston Chronicle reported:

The first draft for proposed standards in United States History Studies Since Reconstruction says students should be expected "to identify significant conservative advocacy organizations and individuals, such as Newt Gingrich, Phyllis Schlafly and the Moral Majority." [...] Others have proposed adding talk show host Rush Limbaugh and the National Rifle Association.

The 15-member committee, stacked with 10 Republicans, is expected to vote along party lines. Earlier this year, a panel of right-wing "experts" produced a report urging the committee to remove biographies of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Stephen F. Austin, César Chávez, and instead add history about the "motivational role the Bible and the Christian faith played in the settling of the original colonies."

I'm not in favor of religion in the schools, but given a choice between teaching that and teaching about "Heather Has Two Mommies," (remember that), I'll take the religion.

Looks like Texas will be educating more sheep, more bathroom toe tappers, more little boys who will grow up and go to prostitutes and demand to wear diapers, more losers who think that prayer will take the place of health care insurance, more of those who will adhere to the status quo because going against the powers that be, no matter if they rape your family or screw your financial means, is too much of a radical idea. They will founder and be left to starve believing in such moronic fairy tales the whole world will be laughing at such ignorance.

Hey, on a bad day we got more going for us than any other state. If we left you'd sure miss us.

I'm a native Texan and I love our state. We do pretty good down here for ourselves, even if we are Republican-leaning. We're traditional, despite what the libs try and pull, (lol); we just ignore them and keep on doing what's right --

I don't much care for the death penalty but there's one thing that's really clear down here. Don't break into a Texan's home or you'll get your arse shot and are likely to wish you took up burglary in another state.

God bless Texas.

Texans = God, Guns, Apple Pie, Mom, Ford trucks, and Chevrolet.

Im from Texas..if I could move back..I would....at least theres some sanity and honesty there..

What did you expect....The origins of this nation have been attacked by the liberal left..and distorted into a bunch of lies...

Whether the left likes it or not..the history is the history..and it needs to be preserved..

Anyway..the reason the radical liberals are trying to push this new history of America where there were no Christians and all the founding fathers were deists...(which is a blantant lie..just read their writtings...T..Jefferson went to church every single sunday)....is because they want to dismantle our constitution..

Its the only thing standing between them and their agenda of slavery for all..and our FREEDOMS!!!

Dont believe a thing these radicals say or print..they are a nest of liars..cheating and distorting the truth at every corner..

I see this move in Texas is a way to preserve the truth about the origins of this nation..and the beginnings and the reason that these people settled here..was for religious freedom..Christian freedom..and you just cant change that little fact..no matter how hard you try...libs.
