PROMISE-AWE


I will love
your scars
Deep sinewed
armor that
protects your heart

I will kiss
them - tenderly
Anoint them
with sweet oil
and touch

I will know
them as
my own
smooth warm
slinky in the dark

Chalices
in celebration
Light and Hope
high and lifted up
I shall ask God
to fill with stars

Sacred acts
of Knowing Awe
