I was watching a show about women who didn't know they were pregnant the entire 9 months, which I can't believe anyone can be that naive about their own body.
So we must first start off ignoring these early signs of pregnancy:
* missed menstrual period * nausea * extreme fatigue * frequent urination * tender breasts * headache * heartburn * constipation * spotting * feeling faint
Now, I could list more.
Moving onto the later stages:
Backaches. Shortness of breath Heartburn Spider veins, varicose veins and hemorrhoids Continued breast growth Braxton Hicks contractions Weight gain Vaginal discharge Swelling Lets not forget the baby kicking and moving around in the stomach.
Now, lets pretend that a woman could actually ignore all these signs and more, not that I am buying into this one bit.
Ok, now for this woman who went far far far beyond this, she didn't have a bowel movement for a week, which isn't uncommon, so she decided to do an enema, Over the last few days she was complaining about back pain, back labor will do that, lol
After a few minutes on the toilet, she yells to her hubby, omg I feel so much better now, the back pain is gone.
Then, she start to hear a baby cry, so she yells to her hubby once again and says, honey, do you hear coyotes outside, because it sounds like a baby crying.
He says no darling, she stands up and says to her husband again are sure you don't hear coyotes, which he's says no again. She says, I still hear a baby crying.
Well, I think if you just delivered your baby in the toilet, that maybe a clue where the baby crying sound is coming from, geez how dumb can one be,lol
First, how in the fricken world can't a woman not know what comes out her ass, rather then her vagina, omg
One must ask, didn't she wipe herself, didn't she feel the umbilical cord and apparently her hearing also sucks, lol
Then, to top it off, she goes on TV and tells the world how much of a dumb ass she is.
I can't believe anyone could possibly be this dimwitted and be able to keep the baby. To be fair, how could I expect her to notice any of the signs when she didn't even catch on she just delivered a baby into the toilet without knowing it.

wow! and you have delivered how many babies yourself ....
so you are PERSONALLY aware of ALL the signs???
not just hearing about them???
and this person was a slim young woman also right?
She was not obese or was she? and not having periods anymore nor could feel or distinguish gastrointestinal happenings and had no idea that she could POSSIBLY be pregnant..so was not looking for any USUAL sign and symptoms.....so her physical condition could obstruct a pregnacy????and to tell this story was a shocker to her???my my my...hummmmnnnn...
Having known a woman of age in her upper 50's who delivered a baby that EVEN HER DOCTOR didn't know about...he said she had a tumor!!!
The body is strange....and by the way 9 months is NOT always how long the gestation period is...my own child went into hibernation an extra month and I had induced labor because she was losing weight in utereo!
So be amazed at the stories...but do NOT consider NAIVE as a condition to not know.....er...unless you want your own navity to show!!! and then you would be as you say in your title of this blog......
just saying....

Hi Frantasic, this woman wasn't obese, she was a little overweight.
She wasn't naive, she was plain fricken stupid, there's no defending this.
How can you not know what came out your vagina, rather then your ass, then now hear where the baby crying was coming from.
If she wiped herself, she would have known, geez.
People don't have to be a drug addict to understand and help people.
I help women who been raped, but, I wasn't raped.
You don't have to smoke to understand your body is a chimney.
You don't have to an abuse wife to understand the signs and why it's so wrong on every level.

Now now Ed, In all fairness some humans function on a different level than others. All cannot be expected to respond normally.
I do not know the story so I'll catch up with you on a comment when I'm more informed.

Hi strata,
I agree some humans do survive on different levels, she just happens to be at the very very bottom.
I can maybe at the deepest part of my mind could I believe a woman could miss all the signs of being pregnant, but come on, she can't tells what comes out of her ass, rather then her vagina, when she wiped she couldn't feel the umbilical cord, can't tell that a baby is crying right below her ass, not to mention somewhere along the line she broke her water. Not to mention, that must have been one hell of a splash in the toilet when she delivered an 7 pound baby, geez, What was she thinking then?

Interesting - I have 18 of the 20 symptoms listed! OMGosh, maybe I'm pregnant & didn't know that for the last 20 years!! HEY...maybe when it drops out of my ass...he/she will be ready to move out on their own!
I tried real hard to ignore this...but gosh, I have to say what a rude attitude! You say you deal with women who are raped?? Seriously????

I think it's Discovery Health that has these stories on TV frequently.
I've seen some of them & I understand how it's happened.
I just thank goodness it's never happened to me & I pray it never does!

Ed, again I think you and I might find this hard to imagine but I think we can agree that all humans respond and react to things differently. Several times in my life I"ve been 100% sure I was pregnant because of the signs....and I was wrong. Once after I'd had my first child ( I could feel a baby moving, etc) and the second time after I'd had 3. The first time the doc said...No way, nadda...must be gas, etc. I didn't go to the doc the second time....I"m still not 100% sure there wasn't one that time. Anyway...I"m self reportedly.....as smart or maybe smarter than average...if you believe in all that crap.
I think it's possible to ignore the signs and not all women blow up like a balloon. Bone structure, weight, height...it can and does happen. Accept it and you'll be able to sleep better!

My niece was here one Christmas and she was wearing overalls and a large coat. It was about 85 degrees in the house. She never took off the coat. I told her mother-in-law (my sister), "she's pregnant". Heard back later that week that "oh no, she's not pregnant".
2 months later. SURPRISE! Her tummy hurt and she was rushed to the emergency room where she delivered a healthy baby girl.
Now this woman had already had one baby before and even I could tell just from looking at her that she was pregnant.
It was all denial. Her marriage was in trouble and she was using drugs and sure enough, the marriage broke up soon after.
Denial.

I said, maybe I can buy a woman may not know she wasn't pregnant, but, she would have to be in denial as Blueeyed said.
Now, there no way any woman could deliver a baby without knowing, not feel the umbilical cord and not know the difference between what comes out her ass, rather then her vagina. Not to mention not knowing where the cry of the baby was coming from.
I don't know any person on this earth, who took a 7 pound crap and not know it came out there ass.
This is one time women need to stop defending a woman just because she's a woman.
She's is the dumbest person on this planet, it's impossible not to know you just delivered baby.
Ok, when I was married, I told my wife she was pregnant before she knew it.
I do believe this woman did miss all the obvious signs and the lesser signs, because she couldn't even tell she just had a baby.
Not all men are bright and not all women are bright, it's really that simple.

Yes, cynbaby, I am the father, but, you were the mother in question, lol
Puppylove, you need to go see a doctor, now, especially if your not pregnant.
Now, I could cut my finger off and say, oh I didn't see any of the signs if I to deny them, like the blood dripping, not being able high five a person with that hand and not being able to notice my wedding ring isn't on,when it was that finger that was cut off.
Now, every women or man on here would be calling me stupid if I didn't notice, so how is this any different?

Same goes for farting man. They don't know they farted? Aw come on now. They know. Everyone around them knows. They just ate, an hour ago, a big can of baked beans. Their intestines are gurgling. and they pretend it's nothing at all. The people at the dinner table are gagging. The dog is outside and the septic was pumped a mere week ago. Who me? Sheesh. Where do these people come from is right.

But man ole man...that was the most memorable constititional she ever took....

I didn't do this documentary, the whole show was about women who didn't know they were pregnant. Give me credit for being open-minded to listen to what these women had to say.
If people read my blogs over the years on here, they know I am not a woman basher, actually, I have a lot of pos blogs about women.
Chevy, made a great simple point,
Believing this women is like believing that we didn't land on the moon and Hitler didn't killed the 8 millions Jews during WW2.

I've watched those documentaries too & I've had the wonderful experience of pregnancy & natural childbirth. Those women who don't know nor suspect anything are just plain dumb. There is no way in hell they can't know something is up. I feel sorry for the children of those women.

When I went to the hospital to give birth to my baby, the hospital staff did NOT believe I was pregnant - they asked me 10 times if I was sure, lol! I was still pretty thin everywhere and carried the extra 35 lbs very well, only a small bump. Baby boy was 21" long and 7.2 lbs - very healthy. Got back to my size 6 jeans in 2 weeks.

Hi hellosue,, well at least you knew you were pregnant.
Now, this blog isn't about women not knowing they were pregnant,it's about a woman who delivered a child and didn't know, even after the baby was crying and her umbilical cord was hanging out.
This women is just plain stupid on many levels, simply put.
Honestly, how can any woman on this site or anywhere could truly say they wouldn't know they just delivered a baby.
This is just women sticking up for a woman just because she is a woman.

I'll probably catch heck for this, but........I agree with Ed. I have not watched any programs pertaining to this, but I have heard that it has happened where a few women didn't know they were pregnant. Give me a break! How can you NOT know when you are pregnant? Granted......some women have their menstruation throughout the pregnancy, but what about the morning sickness and all the other 'symptoms'? With both my pregnancies, I had morning sickness ALL DAY LONG! And if these babies are alive in you........you are definitely going to feel them moving.......and kicking.

Ed, Thanks for the comment. I totally understood your blog, thank you.
My comment was aimed at sometimes even the professionals don't know when a woman is pregnant. I was ready to pop and the hospital was questioning me. So I can see how some (not many) women may get confused, especially if they are getting no or bad professional advice. Make sense?
I am not defending anyone, just making a comment. Relax.

Far be it for me to tell you that you are a man and have never experienced pregnancy.
It happens.
Women don't always know, in fact the only reality most of the time is the end result.
I talk from experience, you don't.
Don't argue.
