The Wrapper.....Oh it can fool ya! Sometimes you think you thought, you knew exactly what you wanted, and you made up your mind you wouldn't settle for anything less then exactly what you think you thought you wanted.
Like buying a used car, you have a really good idea of what you would like to have, what seems to just fit, something your comfortable with, something that you know you can handle and take care of just fine. But once your at the car lot (online) you realize this could be a little confusing, now your starring at a Beamer sitting next to a Caddy, right next to a Benz, oooooh look at the Jag, love those head lights Their all shiny lookin to good, and to you they all seem brand new, Some of them are very popular, and everybody's looking at them, everybody seems to want them, and the bidding begins ( their lil clever lines). You smile to your self and think I've heard those lines a thousand times.
As your walking away, your thinking maybe I'll come back another day, but for now I'll just pocket my hopes and dreams of finding that perfect fit for me. You've already filled out the application (the profile) so the lot (the site) atleast knows who you are, even how to reach you. before you leave, you take one last look around, Their she is.... only she's not on the front line, she's in the far back nearly outta sight, but theirs no question in your mind this Beauty is indeed a rare find, a treasure beyond your wildest imagination.
The closer you get ( her background) the more it makes you wonder, how could so many pass this beauty by or did they? Did they just try to pick her cheap? did they just want her for parts, could they not see, the real beauty that lies under the dust from being parked for so long, did they just kick a few tires and walk away? did they try to start her up to quick? did they try to push start her? It's obvious they didn't even try to open her hood (her mind) to see if something was missing or disconnected. They looked at her odometer and think they thought they saw allot of milage (her age) and they simply walked on by and begain looking at other models. They didn't see what I saw..
So I walked around her for a minute and checked her out (her posts and her profile) pulled out my hankerchif and wipe off some of the dust (the tears from years gone by) (an email here and an email there) I think I knew the problem, I recognized it in an instant, this beauty was never adored, appreciated or admired, for all she was capable of delivering, the mere touch of the right button at the right time. Her hood opened up just a little, just enough for me to see and get a glimpse of what is in there. As I looked in (we talked) I could clearly see, this was anything but typical, there was no doubt in my mind she was different, I would take my oath on it.
The interior seems to be in mint condition, under appreciated but very comfortable (easy to talk with) there is a certain glow that radiates from her interior, that is very charming and captivating, the music (her voice) is a sound I could get use to hearing all the time, even her hello is like a real special occasion, I could listen to her music all night long. She comes fully loaded with all the options any man could ever dream of, their not after market, these options are from the factory (her ways).Their very real and very original.
It's hard for me to understand how anyone who once held the keys to this Beauty, in the palm of their hand, didn't see then, what I see now.. It blows my mind. If I could I would, bring her home right now, clean her up (let her feel what I see) give her some tender loving care (let her see what I feel) I would take her "As Is" no guarantee's, I wouldn't change a thing. I would enjoy and appreciate every moment I spent in her interior (her heart) maybe one day I can find the latch that opens the hood (her mind) all the way, start her up and drive her off the lot, not for a test drive, but to be parked in a place we call home.
The Wrapper didn't look anything like, I thought it would look like, it was a look that was completely different to me, nothing like I ever thought it would be or look like, yet it seems like I could very easily get lost in this Wrapper.

awwww popo...so very very nice....
(from one of those models with a few extra years since coming from the factory), my odometer has not recorded many road trips...nor test driven to see just how much of a good ride I can deliver.....sad though....we older vintage models are worth more now than even back then....and when someone wants to restore our former beauty with tender loving care....we are so much better than the new "disposable" models.....*sigh*

First of all Thank you... Now.....Wow this was worded perfectly.... I absolutely agree with your comment Vintage seasoned experience, their is no sustitute, the value is so much greater in every aspect, it appreciates in value as it's being appreciated. The only thing a man has to do is treat it with kindness and sweet consideration, and be as loyal to the model as she is to him.. and he's got a "keeper" that ages like a fine wine.
Thanx again for your thoughts... Popo

I've always had better luck with women then, I have ever had with cars, but I'm no mechanic Don't mis-understand me, I have had a few "Lemons" but still when I look back, I may have been able to somehow find a way to make "Lemonaide" had I known then what I know now...
As always Cookie thanx for your comments..

I would take her "As Is" no guarantee's, I wouldn't change a thing. I would enjoy and appreciate every moment I spent in her interior (her heart) maybe one day I can find the latch that opens the hood (her mind) all the way, start her up and drive her off the lot, not for a test drive, but to be parked in a place we call home Unfortunately POPO so many never want nor do they care to look into the interior (her heart)...... open the latch to the hood (her mind). Most only care to see the exterior and that is when they want to take that test drive, bring her back, park her & move on to the Caddy, the Benz & onto the Jag... so maybe she parks herself in the back of the lot ( many do) to go unnoticed & become dusty to eliminate those that only want to test drive .....until that one special person notices her interior (heart) & opens the latch to her hood (mind) and only then allow her ignition to start.... to begin the journey to be taken to a place called home. Very interesting analogy As Always POPO..........Awesome...Heartfelt Blog

Unfortunately POPO so many never want nor do they care to look into the interior (her heart)...... open the latch to the hood (her mind). Very interesting analogy As Always POPO..........Awesome...Heartfelt Blog Hola Skylar..... Her interior (her heart) is the ultimate place to be, since that can be a life time thing, if were only in or on their mind, that can fade away in time I agree most look mainly at the exterior and that determines whether they want to take it for a test drive, personally I prefer to open the hood (her mind) to see what she's working with, learn all about her performance spects, and see if their is enough room in their for me to fix or repair it, if it breaks down give her a tune -up if she's not running like I know she can.
For me the interior is far more important then the exterior, and here's why, I spend more time in the interior then I ever will with the exterior, everyone knows the exterior is what everyone see's, the interior is where we spend most of our time, learning all the options, reading all the gages, checking the temperature, making sure she's not over heating that's really important If I reach the point where I want to test drive this beauty, my mind has already been made up in many ways, I don't need nor want to test drive others, I know if it's a good fit or not.
If we make it past the inspection, I have no doubts the ignition will fire up the very first time... Then we can drive each other home or out of our minds..
Thank you for your thoughts...
sssssssssst.....by the way, If your interior matches your exterior, ( and I'm sure it does) I think I got some talk for you.....
