Today I received a letter from a gal on a dating site who was completely enamored by my profile. She went on and on... She closed her letter with... "It is too bad that the best profiles are so far away."

She could not remember we had met before.

So I sent her this reply:

"I know what you mean about distance. I saw a gal's profile once that blew me away. She seemed to be everything I was looking for but she lived 2 hours away. She agreed to meet me partway. I was in such a hurry that day to meet her but I was way farther away that day due to my job so it was a 2 1/2 hour drive for me and 45 minutes for her Terrible traffic caused me to be 40 minutes late and I could not reach her by phone. So, I showed up for the first meeting late, disorganized and not quite ready. I was truly embarrassed and sorry. Although we matched very well she abruptly cancelled the date because she was so mad I was late and went home furious. I was sad of course, and no amount of explanation would be accepted and she absolutely refused to forgive me, in spite of my apology. I went home so sad. It was you, don't you remember?
