Jimmy Carter calls Joe Wilson a racist. Well put Mr. ex-President. Once again a Democrat puts his foot into his mouth. The Democratic led House yesterday scolded Joe Wilson for not apologizing to Obama on the House floor. Wilson did apologize to Obama on the phone and Obama accepted it.
I have 3 questions.
1. Why does the House of Representatives rush to scold Congressman Wilson, yet take no action against Representative Charley Rangel who evaded taxes ?
2. Why does a former President slur a member of Congress with such a stupid statement ?
3. Why doesn't Obama step up and tell America that he accepted Wilson's apology, and order a stop to all this racism talk by his cronies ?

Jimmy Carter was one of the worst presidents in American history. He was irrelevant then and he is irrelevant today. No one cares what this clown has to say.

NY Daily News - Discussions - Jimmy Carter calls Rep. Wilson's ...Sep 16, 2009 ... Former President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that U.S. Rep. ... person in that same situation, nor has it ever happened before. ... a 500 acre plantation and was a cotton grower who owned slaves. This man has the gall with a family history such as this? This Peanut farmer has gone Nutz....His family built their wealth on the backs and blood of blacks Spread the Wealth Jimmy....man up!
Joe Wilson, did nothing to raise the Race Issue, He said "you lie" and it has been proven he did lie.HR-3200 did have that provision in it. Ironically Obama called the politicians liars (the right) who have claimed it was in the bill right before Joe said you lie!
So far the only ones who keep playing the race card over and over are the drive by lap dog media and the libs/dems, I have yet to hear any politican on the right say anything to Obama over the color of his skin or any racial comments.
It seems like the left is trying to play the race card to deter the American people from the Obama care bill. Their not winning on substance, so stoop to the race card in hope to make em feel guilty.

Why does the House of Representatives rush to scold Congressman Wilson, yet take no action against Representative Charley Rangel who evaded taxes ? Congressman Rangel is currently being investigated by the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct, more commonly known as the "Ethics Committee." As recently as July, the chairwoman and the ranking Republican on the committee indicated they were expanding the scope of their investigation. So your point is....?
Why doesn't Obama step up and tell America that he accepted Wilson's apology, and order a stop to all this racism talk by his cronies ? President Obama did accept Wilson's apology, but that has nothing to do with House rules. Wilson violated House protocol and as we have a separation of powers, it places the discipline of a member for violations of that protocol within the walls of the House. Under House rules, Members can have their words "taken down" for a variety of reasons, including the behavior exhibited by Cong. Wilson during the President's speech. Had Wilson uttered those words during regular order (debate of a bill on the House floor), his words would have been taken down immediately (erased from the Congressional Record) and he would have been barred from participating in floor debate for the remainder of that day.

1. Why does the House of Representatives rush to scold Congressman Wilson, yet take no action against Representative Charley Rangel who evaded taxes ? Because evaded your taxes is not against house rules.
2. Why does a former President slur a member of Congress with such a stupid statement ? It makes him relevant,,, if for just a short period of time.
3. Why doesn't Obama step up and tell America that he accepted Wilson's apology, and order a stop to all this racism talk by his cronies ?
Obama released a statement that he accepted Joe Wilson's apology. But he is not going to step in to stop the racism comments,,, as they put the media attack on the right,,,, and it distracts the oppisition from arguing about health care,,,, and it moves the ignorant masses into backing his health care plan as to stand against it makes you a racist.
You are only a racist if you call a black man a liar,,,, and not if you call a white policeman stupid.

Joe also has been a member of the Columbia World Affairs Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Sinclair Lodge 154, Jamil Temple, Woodmen of the World, Sons of Confederate Veterans, ....
This is an organization that, as the SPLC has detailed assiduously, has been taken over in the past decade by radical neo-Confederates who favor secession and defend slavery as a benign institution. Leading the takeover is a radical racist who's been an important legal figure on the far right for some years.
In more recent years, the takeover has led to an outright internal civil war. Andrew Meacham at the St. Petersburg Times detailed the internal rift last year:
Experts say the divisions within the Sons vary between two extremes. On one side are the traditionalists, members who focus on cleaning up Confederate grave sites and conducting Civil War re-enactments.
On the other side are the so-called Lunatics, up to 2,000 members who deride traditionalists as "grannies'' and belong to camps named after notorious Southern figures such as John Wilkes Booth and Jesse James. I don't think you'll see Mr Wilson picking up leaves. I'm just saying.
Pssst your ignorance is showing.

Willie again you have put the cart a head of the jack ass or in other words--your feet in your mouth and your head in your ass.
Congress have rles and regulations and means to deal with those who broke them. You need to set and watch congress in action---they refer to each oter as Mr. Mrs. or Ms. Yes they are suppose to have respect for the house they work in.
Sp take a course in Morality and social ethicts.
Carter was right to a certain extent; however, Joe knew what he was doing and you are one of the results--a vote for him in the 2010 election.
If you visit Yahoo today you can read (if you can read and understand) the contents of what has happened.
Wilson, a South Carolina Republican, was formally rebuked Tuesday in a House vote for shouting "You lie!" during Obama's speech to Congress last Wednesday. The shout came after the president commented that illegal aliens would be ineligible for federal subsidies to buy health insurance. Republicans expressed their disbelief with sounds of disapproval, punctuated by Wilson's outburst. Tuesday's rebuke was a rare resolution of disapproval pushed through by Democrats who insisted that Wilson had violated basic rules of decorum and civility. Republicans characterized the measure as a witch hunt and Wilson, who had already apologized to Obama, insisted he owed the House no apology.

Does yelling "You Lie" constitute racism as Jimmy Carter suggests?? this is what I gather from what I heard from Carter's rants...he is troubled by some in the south as I am sure in the north too who can't accept a black man as President...which I believe true to be correct...we don't live a in a cum by ya nation like some would like us to believe.
I am guessing no about Joe Wilson as Carter suggests....I don't believe Joe Wilson to be a racist either and to me honestly it was something said in the heat of the moment but was wrong...he applogized and we should have just moved on by now....

The entire racist argument as it concerns Joe Wilson,,, seems to be just stirred up by the extreme politically motivated in the left leadership ,, or the ignorant.
Like this,,,

The democrats did not discipline Nancy Pelosi or Maxine Watters (I think is was her) when they called President Bush a liar on the House Floor. But there is no way that that outburst could be construed as racist! Maybe it's because he is a Southern Republican? But do I need to remind you that it was a Republican that wrote the Emancipation Proclamation, and the dems that fought against it? Have you forgotten history, and how racisim was fueled in the south by the democrats, and now they have a democratic black president?

Jimmy Carter has done a LOT of great humanitarian works for Habit for Humanity. When it comes to politics, however, he is as clueless now as he was when he was in office.
Neal Bortz predicted months before the election, that If Obama was elected, everytime someone would dare to disagree with him, they would be called... Racist... so as to detract from the real issue.
