AT A DISTANCE (AND SO, WE ARE)
Restless night out here there tonight Twisted sheets tangled between legs rivers full of treachery between us
I cannot swim but I'll be your ocean deep as you need to dive or to sink
Gasping for air reaching for your strength thighs grinding deep open to your hips
I know not what your sheets are coloured only that my cheeks burn hot red
We are more than lust less than trusted willowing drifting like the breeze before a tornado
Entrenched in whatever lies between us we are a fortress mightier than anything that seeks to destroy offers touch
We don't talk of less than love Any more and so we are
