People always said that when you're an empty-nester, all you do is long for the chicks, but nothing could be further from the truth! To have your own space is priceless and you eventually start to do whatever it is you always wanted to do, even if it's just to play music and sing along at the top of your lungs while you're dancing in your underwear!
Oh....I've said too much......

Yes, I'm with you on this one! I'm not suffering from any kind of syndrome. The house is now quiet and peaceful (including no more hip-hop music). The only conflict I have is when one of my two cats thinks out of the box! I'm just waiting for the right compatible male to come along so I don't have to continue my activities alone. I keep myself busy now, with me, exercising, car club, sports events, drives, whatever I feel like-- or nothing at all. This is way cool! Job well done, Empty Nesters! It wasn't easy...

Welcome to the club!!! It's been about two months for me and I'm soooooo enjoying this! Skinny dipping if I feel like it, as well as no tan line sunbathing (well, actually not yet, it's been too hot for that so far, but I'm looking forward to it!).

I can identify with this...3 of my 4 kids live in different states and I miss them all so much... but I have to admit it's nice just me and hubby here.
Two of my grandsons live close enough that I can have them over and take them home when I want.. just enough so I don't feel the empty nest thingee too much
