From the Korean war till now America has kind of lost or flat out lost every so called war we fought. I agreed with Obama in regard to the importance of Afghanistan and Pakistan, and with delusional hope thought maybe this time would be different. No hero here, the only time war is fun for some is when you survive. So America, make up your mind, is you or aint you a warrior nation! If you are I do not care what it takes to get the job done, even if this includes my butt, but; do it. If not mind your own business, act as the paper Tiger you are. This is war, as part of NATO the Germans ordered an air attack on 2 fuel tanker trucks, seems some want to sue NATO or the Germans for killing so called civilaians. If you had a son would you encourage him to join the armed forces, or even be ok with it! Do not get me wrong, my heart is with the troops, I donate cause our governent doesn't supply nearly enough coffee to keep the troops alert. However, in my opinion I think all of them should catch the first available plane, boat, hot air ballon or whatever and come home.

Hopefully, this war will not come to a nuclear option. But I think it is inevitable. It's in our nature to destroy ourselves. But look on the brightside, we might all have good healthcare when we get radiation poisoning........NOT!

Just for the record, we don't sign up to not fight a war. When a person enlists, they take an oath. Regardless of what we believe, we fight a war if the commander says so.
unless you yourself have been there, i regret to tell you that you need to keep your opinion about the military to yourself. This really angers me.
No one speaks for you.. please don't do it for us.
I don't speak for other like i know what they have went through.
I keep my life basically private here and everywhere else. I feel no need to make assumptions about anyone else.

Since all the wars in recent history are all started by the NWO types...perhaps these wars are a vehicle in which to de-populate the earth..like they have written about doing....300 billion people...they want dead...
They caused the plagues that hit America earlier in the century.HIV...and are trying to get us with pig flu...etc...
What a bunch of sick people...they have deemed themselves God of the World..like the most high God..

I have to defend LTB here Right Wing. I have talked with him many times about our troops and the war in general. I think he is stating here that we should strike hard and fast and be done with it. That way, we can get our men and women home.
Not taking sides and not starting anything, but he did say:
Do not get me wrong, my heart is with the troops,
Again, not taking sides.......I love you both.

American wars are won or lost by public opinion, nothing else.
Our enemies know that if they hold out long enough the American people will get bored with the war, "how come it's taking so long?" and the casualties.
They also know that they can be as dirty and nasty as they want to be, they can torture, behead, kill civilians and violate every rule of war and thoroughly dishonor themselves and it will make no difference because we will hold ourselves responsible for all of the violence. After all if we weren't there none of this would be happening....that we would see.
Personally I think the only real way to win a war against terrorist organizations is secretly, covertly by assassination. Disrupting their organization, killing their leaders and more importantly their financial backers. Without money and leadership they are nothing but an angry mob in another country.
When we are in another country the only way that we can succeed is with the support of the local people. In order for us to have that support they have to agree with our cause or fear us.
Since we never really instill fear in the populace, (we are after all a Nation of laws that respects human rights and dignity) then our only hope is if the locals want us there and will side with us.
Since many of these people are ignorant, uneducated, steeped in tradition or more likely afraid to help us because we have a bad habit of walking away from our allies and leaving them to pay the cost of recriminations, we aren't going to get a lot of voluntary support from them.
My thoughts then are that our armed forces should simply raid the offending country. Go in kill, as many enemies as they find and break stuff, then leave. Let the locals know that we'll come back and kill more people and break more stuff and generally make their miserable lives more miserable if they don't put a stop to the crap that their government has done in their name.
We'll hold them responsible as it is our philosophy that all government everywhere is with the consent of the governed.
Now the ultimate solution would be to help these people to help themselves overcome their economic problems and lead good prosperous lives but again, they have to want to do it, we can't make them do it. You can't make someone free, they have to demand it for themselves or it has no value.
