So I'm a little curious,exactly when did America ,,,the "UNITED" States of America become a nation divided?
Was it during the 60's? Are drugs and hippies to blame? does it go back farther?
It seems to me we are now a nation with two distinctly different philosophy's on ,,well just about every friggin issue you can think of!

"United" is a misnomer and patently untrue...if we were united,,when a president was voted in,,we would unite behind this person,,and although you may not have voted for said president,,you would have the class and decorum and at very least patriotism to stand behind the person who won the fair and free election the democratic system we so pride ourselves on allowed us the freedom to cast our vote for.

But,,nooooooooooooooo,,, there is a huge divide in people's thinking,,,there appears to be two main groups and I'm sure many smaller "cells" shall we call them for arguments sakes.
now we get to it,,,the liberals and the conservatives.....ying and yang,,,i say the sky is blue,,you fire back with the sky is actually green and the blue thing is just a liberal plot to hide the truth about the sky being green.
When did we become so divided? i have a theory,,,oh,,of course i do,,,i absorb information,,assimilate it,,and spew forth the results for anyone willing to listen long enough.
Conservatives main issue seems to be something along the lines of "What happened to this country,why can't things be the way they use to be,morals,family values,church,god,etc."
Liberals seem to be saying "listen i'm sure these are things you conservatives believe in,,,but perhaps i don't feel the same way about it you do,maybe i see things differently and don't want to be persecuted by you because i don't see it the same way"

Now what kind of relationship does this sound like to you???
perhaps a parental one?
where the parent try's to teach the child the things they were taught but the child rebels and dares to formulate there own opinions away from the "family" way of thinking. it's just a theory,but it seems to fit alot of the differences in the philosophy's of conservatives and liberals.
Conservatives say,,stay home,,family is all. Liberals seem to be saying,listen i don't want to stay home,i want to be my own person and think my own thoughts,,who knows,,it's just a theory.

I don't really know when all of this started or how it has become such a huge divide,but i do know this..a country divided,,is a weaker nation...you know,, the whole united we stand divided we fall thing.

So while all of you are so busy pointing your fingers and stomping your feet swearing up and down that "your" way is the only way and if we don't return to an age that is long long gone the world will come to screeching halt.or satan will come forth from hell and throw us all into the pit or whatever your belief happens to be..
remember this,,,,the more we argue about who is right,the more we grow apart.
I personally don't think things will ever change.there will always be parents ,who without an actual playbook on how to raise children,will continue to just do what there parents did before them and so on and so on....
and there will always be children who rebel against this passed down parenting theory and refuse to do things just because "it's the way it's always been done" they will want to discover things for themselves and explore new and improved ways of doing things using there own minds and skills and passion.

Is the world a worse place then it was years ago,,sure it is,,,,there are so many more people!
well that's another issue altogether,,,,
if 1 million people are out of work,and these one million people have 3-4-5 children a piece, exactly where are all the jobs going to come from so these kids can work?
there were no jobs for the one million! now there's 4-5-6 million! even if the million die!
