You know, I think inside of all we all have truths that we don't either want to admit to, or just acknowledge.
...I can't blame any of us. I am the same way. For some of us it's how we can keep on going and deal with whatever life throw's our way. For others, it's a way of keeping hope alive, where our special dreams exist...
I know many, many people...The believe in the "Secret", and the stories of sucess that occur when you follow it. For myself...The "Secret", it's not a big deal to me. I have a friend that's hooked on it...She made herself a vision board and the whole nine yards...
...I can't waste time on that. Often she asks me, are you doing what I told you? Are you following the "Secret"? I tell her no. The "Secret" is all about the power of positive thinking, and how being positive and basically believing in yourself will help all your dreams come true.
I don't have dreams. I have reality. Reality can not be merely changed by hoping and believing in something that isn't going to happen. No matter how I hope, pray and have faith in the belief that Santa Claus will bring me a present this Christmas...It's not going to happen.
...If I stick some money and power symbols on a piece of bristleboard and start at it daily sending all of my concentration it's way...Well it's not going to make me a millionaire who is wildly successful. Life just doesn't work that way.
I choose to believe in me, and what I know I can accomplish...Anything else...That's just icing on the cake...
...Let's say for example...I desire a mate from MD...So I spend time hoping they become mine, or I should say, imagining that they are already mine, we are happy in love and have a beautiful family...Just to make it a little more interesting...Let's say he lives in another country and has strings that tie him there...
How much would you like to bet that no matter how positively I think about this...It won't happen? I could stare at his picture daily, already imagining us happy and in love...Together. It isn't going to work. I'm sure of it. In fact...I'd give my last dollar to anyone who could prove that it would actually work.
...Luckily though, I'm gonna hold on to my dollar because let's face it...Reality is a place where certain things never happen...Unlike your dreams.
So I'd like to say I'm all for it...Keep on dreaming and reaching for it all. Have faith in yourself and those your surrounded by. Pour all of your concentration and energy into hoping for what you want...
...Remember though, reality will kick you in the pants. There is nothing wrong with having faith and living to accomplish your dreams...Just make sure you have realistic dreams. Work hard on those. Life goals. That's the important part of all of this.
Be yourself, keep trying...Imagination is called that for a reason. because it's to give your body and mind a break from the stress of reality...Not because it can show you how to really live and be...Or I'd be a Princess in a castle surrounded by luxury with the Prince of my dreams...

I've read that book, my friend lent it to me a while ago. Personally I thinks its nonsense, and Ive told her so.
But she believes in it so thats all that matters.
I choose to believe in me, and what I know I can accomplish...Anything else...That's just icing on the cake...
THAT on the other hand I DO believe in, for one to be able to accomplish anything, first we must believe in ourselves.

The secret is just a racket. Its a blatant attempt at a sort of energy manipulation by mundanes. People need to believe the light is as gracious as the darkness, and through that, some dude capitalized on it. Ive seen the DVD and heard the cds. (my mother didnt know how to operate a DVD player or cd player)
What they dont realize is that only very few people are able to do such tasks at their age. And even if they do manage to pull somthing off, there is always a price no matter what side you play for.
People need to realize, that even someone skilled in the arts, MUST realize there are limits and they need to be self reliant in all things.
Just my thoughts.

(chuckle) I know what you're saying...
For me though, I enjoy my day/night dreams about a particluar someone. Despite the fact that I don't see how it would work, there is something incredible about imagining that it could. All I've got to go on is his picture and words on a screen but man, do I have some delicious thoughts going on when I'm studying that package. Whew..
I don't care if it works out or not, or if it only turns out to be a dream. I love the feeling! It's awesome to come out of where I was when I was thinking about my ex and unable to get over him for the longest time. I'm not thinking about him anymore so I'm kind of grateful to Mr. Daydream. Even if nothing real ever materializes, he gave me hope that I could love again, that I could want to love again, and I feel gratitude toward him for that. He'll probably never realize what I feel because it's probably not meant to be anyway.
I say enjoy your dreams. Life is meant for dreams intermittently between the tough realities.
