I used to watch The Ed Sullivan Show when I was a kid and remembered a comedian who wore dual hearing aids. He must have been hard of hearing and his comedy routine was about misconstruing words. The dictionary calls this malapropism* If you are around my age, it's possible you have seen or heard of this guy. His name is Norm Crosby.
A few months ago, I was looking for some of his clips on YouTube but my search was unsuccessful. Today, my search was fruitful. Here's a sample of Norm's funny stuff:

Car Pool Toe Nail Sin Drum... that's what happens when too many people share a ride to work in a sub-compact car. I'm told it's very painful !
