Friday my sister went back the UK hospital to see her neurosurgeon. He was totally stunned by how good she looked. She had gained 12 pounds since leaving the hospital. Of course, some of it is due to the steroids that they are weaning her off of. But the greatest thing is that they have found some pills that help her stomach and make it easy for her to take her meds and not get sick. She is eating anything she wants and it is not bothering her stomach.
The best news is that she does not have to see him for 3 months and then he will do another MRI on her brain. So far, every scan they have done, whether it be a cat scan of the brain, total body scan, or a scan of her spine, have came back clean as a whistle.
I found out today that the radiation will start Monday. She is going to stay at the Hope Center there next to the hospital because she has to have the treatments everyday for 5 days. She will get weekends off and can come home, barring that she does not get sick during these treatments. The chemo will be given through pills, but the radiation will be done with her lying in some type of contraption that they have molded to fit her body. She has to lay completely still and not move. They told her she would have to be more still than she had to be when they were doing the MRI on her. She is to have treatments every week until November 6th. Below are some pics of her the day she came out of surgery and the day she left.
Thanks to all who have sent her well wishes, good thoughts, or prayers. My family and I are humbled that you would take the time out of your busy schedule to send up a prayer for her. They are working, she is in great spirits. The hair looks so much better that I could ever have imagined. She is beautiful when she is fixed up and her hair was always so beautiful. But it is just hair, it will grow back.!!!!
This pic was taken within two hours of the removal of the tumor. She looks awesome for just having had brain surgery.

These pics were taken the day that they let her out of the hospital, 3 days after major brain surgery. I am so proud of her.
