Everybody knows what this is.......no explanation needed......but what does need explaining is why this stretch of road i drive on causes it all the time......Indianapolis is circled by interstate 465.......east, west or south.......traffic moves as well as it can.....many ways to get home if need be......but if you live anywhere to the north of indy.....one has maybe three ways to get home......anymore .....and youre going way out of your way just to get there......add to this.....all the subdivisions they built all over the north side......and the fact that highway 69 goes from three to two lanes in both north and south bound....and you see the shit i have to deal with everyday i come home from work...i live 30 miles to the north......it dosent happen on the way in......i work ten hour days...so im out there between 5am and 5:15am......and the traffic is lite....but around 7am.....its bumper to bumper traffic all the way into indy.....if i had to face rush hour traffic both ways everyday.....i couldnt work down there.....just facing it one way...four times a week....and im ready to kill somebody.......so lets add this equasion up......long stressful day at work....fighting north bound traffic just to get out of indy.....three lanes turning into two.....traffic stops in front of you......red tail lights as far as the eye can see.....now add into it....two days of constant pouring rain.....slick roads.....and stupid people......some on cell phones.....others.....thinking that just because they turn on their turn signals...they have the right to come over into youre lane.....now throw in really bad weather........snow and ice.....people not taking the time to clean off their windows front and back.....let alone.....their side mirrors.....or even their tail lites.....know what this all adds up to?.......one big steaming pile of dog dookie.....ive commuted this route for almost 19 years......and over the years...ive learned a few things.....first and formost.....i surround myself with a tank......a chrysler pacifica......no way would i ever go into battle in a gas saving compact car.....let them put that on youre gravestone.....i got 40 miles to the gallon.....until somebody ahead of me got stupid and turned my car into accordain.....with me in inside.........take today.......im within about five miles from my exit home......ive fought my way up here......im in the left lane passing a semi......its pouring down rain......just as im about to pull up along side of the semi.....the car behind him.....in the right lane swings around the semi......inches from the front of my car.....i hit my brakes....all the cars behind me do the same thing.....and i let this guy get by with this.....my first thought was this......drive his ass into the back of that semi......i know......not the smartest move to make......but when road rage hits......all common sence just flys out the window.......but im home now......i made it here alive......didnt have to kill anybody for being stupid......but let me tell you one thing.......im not so sure....the next time......what i might do......hopefully.....ill do whats right......but then again......ive always believed that there are people out there....that dont deserve the air they breathe.....let alone.....have children......just like them......damn......it sure feels great letting this all out on here......keeping it all pinned up inside of you can be dangerous........cookie

Here in Saginaw, it's not so much the expressways that where the dummies are, it's the main roads. They zip in and out of traffic, I swear they're not checking to see if it's clear because they don't have the room...I can't count how many times I hit my brakes in just a 5 minute run up to the gas station. Want annoying? Have some dummy behind you suddenly speed up, pass you, then make a right turn in front of you. 
I'm wondering how some of these drivers are getting a license to begin with.

Don't deserve the air they breathe, let alone have children. Yep. Think I know a few of those. Maybe, the government should require a birthing license???? Then again. There are brain dead half wits getting drivers licenses, right. They say driving is a priviledge not a right. About nine years ago the great state of Arkansas reminded me of this. I've been a good boy since then. Well. They haven't caught me atleast. Damn radars.

 ...  it certainly sounds impossible to stay calm throughout all that, I would imagine even the Pope himself would be honking his horn and flipping the bird. As you say though, blogging it's a great way to de-stress!!!! Whew!

Cookie... I drove for 14 years in So Cal bumper to bumper traffic... 40 mile commute each way that took an avg of 2 hrs each way.. the first ten miles in the morning took an hour..... So I can relate... Better to get it out here than on the road.... I've seen people lose it on the road.. Years ago, a guy got pulled out of his car on an off ramp and was kicked to death from the road rage.. .. Keep finding the other outlets to let the anger go.... I finally got so sick of the traffic I transferred states... I now live about 8 minutes from work... no traffic except for an occasional train... Traffic sucks and now days with everyone paying more attention to there cell phones than the road they are driving on, I don't think I could ever go back to that lifestyle...
Find some good tunes to keep you mood upbeat.. I feel for you.... Just keep that goal of an ice cold beer waiting for you at home with a smile!

Fact or fiction??? I think it became a word around 1984. Now the US has 300 million people and 250 registered motor vehicles. And cellphones. There's no hope. I quit driving 2 years ago.
