SO,, today my son was hanging out at the house,,, nursing a little cold,,, but really I'm thinking he is just after a three day weekend. I checked his grades,,, all good,,, so WTF.
He watches some TV,,, and see's that the President has received the Nobel Peace Prize. Then he see's some comments from people overseas,,, wanting to know what the President had done. My son asked,,, "Dad, why do people over there want to attack the President, after all the help we give them and money we send there?"
"Son,, it's just human nature. People attack other people. It's not really a forign thing,, people in this country are more polarized to the President than people in other countries. Remember, the goal of the TV news is to find some good video."
"Yeah, Ms. _______ at school has shown us videos of people who don't like Obama."
"Has she shown you videos of people who don't like Bush?"
"No,,, why would she?"
"Because it's human nature,,, not the nature of just people who don't like Obama."
"Well,, I think you are just getting on your soap box again. Normal people don't think that way,, just the nuts at the town hall meetings."
"Bet you. I win,,, you make dinner. You win,,, I'll make dinner and do the dishes."
"What,,, I'm not going to just let you pull up a bunch of stuff off the net,,, that's not fair."
"Ok,,, how about this. I'll post this,,, and we'll see if anyone attacks Bush, or attacks me, or attacks someone who says they support President Bush. Let's see who jumps first."
"What,,, no one is going to fall for that."

Well well well......being a Texan...and being from Midland,Texas (hometown of Laura Bush) and knowing her..if she LOVES George...then there is something there the general public can't see!
I support GW! and time will tell...if we don't succumb to George Orwell's 1984 and our history books being rewritten and Big Brother changing things so the latest "puppet" is seen as the "true prophet".......
but hey! That's ok....
We shall find out sooner or later that the "Emporer" has no clothes cause the weavers of magic cloth that "smart people" can see and those that can't must be stupid and no one will admit he is naked......or do they and no one wants to listen??? humnnnnn

let me ask this, is your boy studying politics? if not this teacher is out of line and should stop her propaganda. tell him to ignore her, the younger generation is the countries future anyway... your son makes his own mind up after researching all he needs to make him feel comfortable in his choices. 
btw bard... i notice you diligently put all your little punctuation marks in the right places... ie. that's.... please dont expect me to do that, or to put capitals in my writing. i am not in school anymore. grading is for students, i am an adult.
pretty soon, the way i see it, the younger generations are going to downgrade english completely to text language, so WE grown-ups better beginning learning that from them
