up here in God's Country (God Forsaken!), the dreary grey skies of autumn are offset in ND by the treez changing leaves, the green grass growing brown and brown and brown, until there is just not any one brown color remaining, and the grain feilds are cut and once again dark rich black soil is exposed to remind one of the promise of new life beginning next springtime planting season. it all adds up to a vibrant and eclectic mix of nature dying that for me ignites my soul with the beauty and promise of another chance at life...fall, though it surely can be lonely and melancholy, is my favorite time of year, for the death of nature this way also brings with it the joy of knowing of yet more renewal!

and some of us are in a melancholy place regardless of the seasons about us....even when we had a brief taste of hope...it too blew away...and the spark of hope flitters ever so quitely.....
so enjoy what you have...for yourself and for those of us who can't....

Oh, I know.... I've spent many years in "Les Tuilleries"..... so to speak.
I'm so glad I don't have to be there anymore....
And I do think sometimes of how terrible it was, and how lucky I am for having escaped. Not everybody is so lucky....
WSOR...
Indeed, I'm thankful every day....
