As my profile says......im a fall kind of guy......ive already tasted my first glass of apple cider......im on my third three pack of carmel apples with nuts.....the trees here in indiana are exploding with color.......the chill is in the air......football season is in full swing with the colts at 4-0.......im so alive at this time of year....its hard to contain myself....i took a ride yesterday with my daughter and all we could talk about is how the trees around us have somehow changed overnite.....my daughters always been a summer kind of gal......but she sees what i do in the fall.....in another week or so...ll be walking the trails of my favorite park.....listening to the leaves crunch under my feet as i look around at what god has painted for us.....today....ill be making chili to ward off some of the cold.....ive made it three times already.........and with her boyfriend living here.....its lasts but one meal.......ive always thought chili tastes better reheated......ive even doubled it...only to have it gone by the end of the day.....the pumpkins are for sale everywhere now.....the farmers are out in the fields bringing in the crops.....soon the fields will be as bear as the trees.....as winter moves in.....but for now.....fall has sprung......my daughter said it best the other day out in our ride......she said.....can you even imagine being blind.....and not being able to see the changing seasons?....and i told her that i bet alot of people who live here get caught up in their problems...and dont take the time to enjoy whats just outside their windows...i learned along time ago.....to stop and take the time to look around.....the seasons pass so quickly now days....i remember a time when i was so much younger....that they seemed to last a lifetime........cookie

Isn't that the truth, the older I get the quicker the years and the seasons seem to fly by. I used to love to rake the leaves when I was a kid and jump in them. I still like walking through the Fall leaves on the sidewalk, admiring the trees in their magnificent colors. I like Fall too, it makes me feel alive. You make chili, yum, ahhhhh, a man who can cook, not that's my kind of guy.:-) Have you ever had chili on hotdogs? Those are soooo good.

So beautifully said! I absolutely LOVE fall!! I look so forward to it but kinda bummed right now because my trees haven't turned colors yet. This year they seem to go from green to brown then fall off. I am still holding on to hope that there will be some color. Sliced apples dipped in thick, caramel ice cream topping are great, too, and a little less messy. But it's all good. Got my pumpkin the other day at our fresh produce stand and ready to make pies out of it this week. Want one when they are done?

Ah yes, Autumn has always been my favorite season. While I do miss the wonderful and abundant colors that I have experienced while living in the more eastern parts of the country, I still love the Autumn here in the mountains east of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I have also had cider, made chili and my special chicken with homemade noodles this season. How can there possibly be a better season?
