Thanksgiving...A time to be grateful for your blessings...Would you like to know what I'm thankful for? I'm thankful for Canada. My home and native land. The true patriot love, and all that other junk.
...I'm also thankful for medi-care. The way we Canadians take care of our sick...And the fact that since I moved, it's been over a year now since I've had no family doctor. I'm thankful for the Tragically Hip. They are brilliant...
I'm thankful that I'm Canadian. That my Cuban mother was able to cross the border before giving birth to me. So I was Canadian and she wasn't. (That's a lie. My mom is Canadian too. Born and bred.)
...I'm thankful for the majestic Maple tree. (That's a lie too.)
I'm thankful that out of roughly 300 people online at this moment...Maybe1 will read this blog and it won't be me.(Well I read it, proof-read it actually but you know what I mean.)

I grew about 25 miles from the Canadian border so that makes me kinda Canadian so I should be eating turkey, drinking beer, saying eh and take off you hoser.

I'm sorry, Fender. I know you blogged that this is for Canadian's only, but...........GEESH! To me, that's like hanging a 'Keep Out' sign on a door or posting a 'One Way - Do Not Enter' sign on an alley way. I just can't do it! 
So, as long as I'm here......Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian neighbors.....only a little over 100 miles away across the Rainy River.

There are times that I wish I was a Canadien. Not only might it be cool but it'd get me out of this country. lol
Just as long as they have Turkey, mashed potatoes ( not the sweet ones yuck) and gravy. Maybe some cresent rolls, they're good.
A the old pipe dream of moving north. I'm probably going further south if I move, less snow. lol
