Kind of makes you wonder how so many people can praise their god and bitch about America at the same time.

Do you realize the origin of the Pledge of Allegiance?
It was written by a socialist as a hopeful poem about the future Utopian communist society he wanted America to be.
It was pushed/sold by a small-time flag salesman who cynically wanted to enrich himself by getting every courtroom, government office, and schoolroom to have a flag on display.

Yeah, do you realize that not every single blog written is an open forum to start an argument?

Maybe a few of you guys would want to rewrite the National Anthem too? While you're at it, you can make all those changes to the Constitution i know you've all been dying to make.

Wasn't trying to start an argument. Just pointing out that it's ironic that you'd use a leftist/socialist creed to thrust forward your religion.

Just pointing out that it's ironic that you'd use a leftist/socialist creed to thrust forward your religion I thought she was pointing out the correct way of saying the Pledge v the altered Pledge someone else wrote.

The Pledge of Allegiance was written in 1892 by Francis Bellamy, a Baptist minister, he was a Christian socialist. Socialist meant something completely different than what it means today. That's something many of them try to use against us, but the common day socialists are nothing like them from back then. He was the COUSIN of socialist utopian novelist Edward Bellamy. So of course that makes what sweety said wrong. Distorted to suit himself.

This will do for me. It's older than the Pledge of Allegence. And still flying. At least on my mountain. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgWTM4TN_24

RWR here is a pledge..
I am a Republican I am the first defender of Life, Liberty, and the Right to Pursue Happiness.
I affirm that Liberty is the freedom from tyranny, and that to ensure the Natural Right to Liberty every individual shall be free to own property, freely worship, freely speak, and defend these rights from government encroachment by freely keeping and bearing arms I affirm that I am a citizen of this nation, a citizen of my state, and a citizen in my community - and as such it is my duty to hold allegiance only to the same. I affirm that to be a Republican is to strictly adhere to the Core Founding Principles set forth in the founding documents of this nation.

The Founding Fathers created the Constitution to limit the government’s power because they had lived under a tyrant who decided, according to his own whims, what was fair for the people and what wasn’t. The Constitution gave them a certain protection from evil human nature. The founders based this charter on certain biblical principles, not just human reasoning.
What happens if you don’t have a Constitution to hold back the radical left? You end up with a welfare state and a loss of many freedomsl

I love that Pledge peaceful.
The Founding Fathers created the Constitution to limit the government’s power because they had lived under a tyrant who decided, according to his own whims, what was fair for the people and what wasn’t. Isn't that exactly what's happening now?

Also yes it's what is going on right now.. Political figures don't do things for the people -- they do them for there own self interest..

Also yes it's what is going on right now.. Political figures don't do things for the people -- they do them for there own self interest.. That's been happening since the dawn of time. We elect who we feel with do things for OUR own self interest. People more likely to give us what we need or want. Most people hide behind "i chose who would help our Country the most." Nope, not true. McCain would have done more for us, but that didn't happen.
The Puppet Masters are pulling our strings, no matter what way we vote. Usually it's the lesser of two evils, not this time, but that's usually how it goes.

McCain would not have done more. He would have ruined the country just as obama is doing. McCain is not an American as most people think and I say he is not a hero. He was broken when he was released from the pow camp and he is still a broken man. when he entered into politics he was a dirt bag and still is. as true God fearing Americans we must see the truth and not distort it.I also say that we all deserve to have obama in office for being complacent and letting the government go on unabated for so long that many people think it is normal. Many folks think that the actions, speeches of these politicians are the norm.

My question is, why do you have Ultra Conservative and Christian on your profile? I'm curious, because being such a staunch Obama supporter, you voted for everything you should be standing against.
So you John Mccain? Did you two have Thanksgiving Dinner together? If he's "not an American as most people think", please explain why.
He was broken when he was released from the pow camp and he is still a broken man. No shit Sherlock. I would imagine that MOST people who were in a POW camp would be broken.
God fearing Americans we must see the truth and not distort it. What the hell are you talking about?
He would have ruined the country just as obama is doing In the next breathe:
I also say that we all deserve to have obama in office for being complacent and letting the government go on unabated for so long that many people think it is normal So we deserve our Country to be ruined? That's what you just said.
