Disclaimer - It took me all day long yesterday to write this between doing dishes, letting the dogs out, putting up pears, maiking some cider. I thought I was alone in my thinking. However upon getting up this morning I realize I am one of many that feel this way.
Here I am again, back at MD to write yet another scathing political blog. Why MD you might ask? Because you are notorious for reading blogs you don’t want to read on topics you don’t want to hear about. That and I do have a good time with my significant other here which is where he chooses to blog.
I on the other hand am a political junkie. I started writing political blogs prior to the elections I am still writing political blogs and yes I think dating sites need to have political blogs, especially in today’s political climate as I think it could actually make or break a relationship.
I am having real difficulty comprehending the depth of division that now exists in this nation. I see its effects everywhere, in every aspect of our lives. In personal relationships, in families, in the ability to be civil to one another, we are hopelessly divided.
I no longer think that the chasm can be bridged. I think that the division between Democrat and Republican on a social level has become so venomous that there is little hope for any resolution at any level. Things have been said that will not be forgiven or forgotten by either partiy.
In the meantime Democrats and Republicans on the political level have merged goals, but still argue over how to achieve those goals. Bigger government, more control over the population, less control over the corporations. Nationalize the corps and tax the top, or Buddy up to them and skim off the top. Either way the people have become nothing more than a demographic to be manipulated, by force or flattery, but it still will take from you and feed their greed. The outcome remains the same.
The faction that the government hasn’t picked up on is corporations are not and never will be satisfied in how much they want or feel they need to get bigger, do better, they want the world and the USA is only one customer, which has kind of used up its credit account. We are now in the last phase of the relationship, we can’t come up with any more baubles, we are tapped, used up and not so attractive anymore. Time to cut us lose, negotiating for palimony payments.
We The People = the abused wife
Government = the unfaithful husband
Corporations = the never satisfied call girl
One of these days the government will try to come back with that hang dog look, and an empty apology and it will be too late, we have listened to one to many excuses, heard one to many lies, there will be nothing left but a broken and tattered relationship. Those emotionally exhausted words…..I don't trust you, I don't believe in you and I want a divorce.

I have come to the conclusion that anything coming out of any politicians mouth is a lie..
and that's sad.
So who is there left to trust?
Who doesn't have their hand in someone's pocket?
Why is the absolute welfare of this country and ALL of the people in it no longer a priority?
What politician ( on any level) is not screwing around, playing footies under the bath room stalls, making back room promises that only line their pockets....
And am I gonna live long enough to see any changes for the better?

You know Lazareth I used this analogy on purpose.
Stop and think about being in a relationship where the partner is cheating on you.
In this relationship when it is new, each partner is enamored with the other, there is freedom to have disagreements, a common ground can be found. But as in all relationships that are abusive one partner feels the need to hold more control. Sometimes that control is not overtly negative. bringing home a gift daily, doing something that makes the other feel better about their role. The abusive partner comes to count on the effort made by the other partner, but is still not satisfied. Something is always missing, they want to add to their satisfaction quotient. So they take on something/someone else, something they know would not be approved of by the other partner, but they bring the gift home daily and it will make it OK.
Many of us know where the story goes from here. It escalates. By now the roles are firmly engrained, the children have become invovled, chosing sides, making one the bad guy and the other a saint. In this case the mistress is tolerated so as not to lose face with the neighbors or the positions the partners have achieved. The mistress demands more, the lies and the promises made become cheap fodder, to try to repair something that is broken. Sometimes these relationships follow to the end and it is a quiet hostile life where few are happy, but even that exsitance is tolerated. Other times there is a divorce. But when that time to split comes, the controller although never really happy with the relationship is unwilling to give up an inch, or admit any responsibility, "don't you know I did it all for you". When the other partner would have been satisfied years ago with some sign of loyalty and some comradarie where they met issues head on together. They had been abandoned years ago, but are still required to fufill the other partners definition of what their role should be. Sometimes the split becomes violent even deadly. Sometimes it is a murder suicide, I think we may be there now.
We will be financially destroyed(murdered) , but they still do not understand it was our role as taxpayer that shored them up, without us, our role as worker, taxpayer, that they became quite comfortable with has eroded, and they will be without (suicide). In the mean time the mistress pockets all and walks away.
