There was a blog recently posted that said that those whom pledge allegiance to the flag, are in all actuality pledging allegiance to America and that America represents it's government, it's military and it's might. So when we pledge allegiance, we are pledging allegiance to the government.

America does not equate to government, nor does the flag. America means freedom and our flag represents freedom. When I pledge allegiance to the flag I am honoring what I and others fought and died for. The flag represents my freedom to do pretty much whatever I want within the confines of the law.

I don't have to stand in a line for a loaf of bread. I don't have restrictions on my television viewing, musical choices or how much booze I can purchase. I can walk around my house naked with 80's Hair Metal turned up to ear blistering levels. I can stand out in front of my house with a sign that says, "Obama is the Devil" if I want to. I can burn the flag in front of the f*cking White House if I want to. I can have as many children as I want if I wish to. I can grow my own food without having to give the government a certain percentage. I can do a lot of sh*t here that I can't do in say China, Russia, N. Korea, Cuba, Iran, Venezuela, Libya; ect.

Why?.............Because I live in America, home of the red, white and blue baby!

It's just my opinion and nothing more, you may be offended, but at least your not bored..............

My brothers laid down their life for the promises and oppertunities that the flag represents,,,

if someone wants to disrespect the flag,, they have a right to do so.

however,, they are disrepsecting my brothers when they do.

Depending on the day, that could be dangerous.
