That's what you call it when you are sitting here with a pile of papers trying to beat the October 15th extended tax deadline!

I could give you my list of excuses ...... the list is kinda long and most are legitimate ....... but the time spent to type up that list would just be to further procrastinate.

So I guess I will call it a blog and get back to work now. ]

	I was thinking about commenting about your delima earlier but thought I'd put it off for a while longer ! Actually I get panicy if I don't have my taxes filed by the first of April, just can't stand the thought of being confronted by any government agency as I picture that as a definite LOSE - LOSE situation. I once had a very wealthy friend who relished in having an ongoing battle with the IRS. I've watched him argue with the owner of a donut shop over a penny or two sales tax. I suppose there must be people who are totally facinated with numbers, not me, I wanna get it over and done with. Hang in there and get that paperwork completed so you can have some peace of mind.

	I understand PERFECTLY!!! I fullly INTEND every year to finish the filing of my taxes that I ALWAYS get an extension to do...I do PAY with the extention any taxes amount I figure I have been required to pay... I just never do complete the paperwork...and thusly I have grossly OVERPAID for years!!! The government even takes out 30% of any of my earnings automatically from any of my investments...and I can get it back and pay ONLY 15% on the PROFIT ...if I have sold any stocks, ect... I have many legitimate excuses...er..reasons???...why they seem to miss being filed by Oct 15th yearly...even though they did extend the Aug filing date into the Oct date for those of us who just filed papers again then... You do realize there is a $100 penalty for filing late??? (if you otherwise owe less than 10% of that not paid in on April 15th) I used to have them down to the penny...every yr...lots of receipts and all...when I did the long form...then...it became better to skip keeping up with what I spent because the "standard" was more than my "itemized"....and thus the downfall began... If I ever catch-up...and I will...cause I am that way...hope we won't have to correspond from in prison....lol

	Thanks all for the TERRIFIC comments! I have NEVER filed for an extension before........ and don't think I will EVER do it again! Things were just so chaotic during tax season it just wasn't possible to get everything done at that time, that, and I was missing a 1099, which I still never got. Then I moved my store, everything got packed in a hurry, and stuff is still in boxes, so I have been going through boxes for days trying to find everything. Thank Heaven for the Internet and the ability to print off needed forms!!
