If the webbots are right...and hell is coming with fury by the end of the year....what good is gold, silver..or my rock going to do you?

Put back extra food....water...vitamins...etc...you would be alot better off..its going to be worth alot more that metals and rocks..

Might want to think about purchasing arms and bullets..you may need them as well....and they also are good for barder and trade..

You cant eat gold, silver and rocks....but you can barder and trade with food..

	what good is gold, silver..or my rock going to do you? Silver has risen about $4.00 an ounce in about 30 days. Gold last I checked was over $1000.00 an ounce. Someone is buying and in huge quanities. If you buy precious metals, make sure you have the metal in your hgand whn you buy it. Don't exccept 'cerificates'. Further, do not put in a bank or safe deposit box. If banks go belly up, or there is a sudden run or crash, banks may close as they did during the Great Depression..many of the banks never reopening. If you 'ain't' got it in your possession, you don't have it.

	MF and Joshua have it right..... All I have to do is look at the grocery shelves anytime a storm approaches....they get bare fast. Just wait until the trucks stop for what ever reason....or some idiot contaminates the food supply and it gets shipped to all parts of the country.... I know my food supply works for me, because I just got off a 7 week experiment. I didn't go grocery shopping.....just ate from my supply....and ate good too. Rotate rotate rotate....use what you store....

	My only problem with the gold and other metals markets is, what happens when even those crash? I was going through some of my old high school note books and came across something I had written in either 89 or 90 asking the question of what would this country look like during a post capitlist society. Back then I didnt have much of an answer as i could hardly even begin to fathom the concept. Now..... Its not so much of a concept, but a nightmarish possible reality. Buying arms and ammo is a good idea, but even then its not an absolute. Hunting knives and other assorted blades would be a good idea along with learning how to bow hunt and aquire food by other means other than shooting it with bullets. Ammo runs out, guns break, even knives rust and fall apart. We need to have other survival skills other than an immediate plan, something along the lines of 2, 3, or more years. I may end up going into wond and solar power within the next year or 2 and even turn part of my kitchen and apartment into a garden. Worst case scenario and nothing happens, I have free electric, minus the cost of the upkeep on the solar panels, and fresh veggies. Good blog though, food for thought. Larry
