Has anyone ever taken a break in a relationship and had it work out? Please describe any experience you've had with this. Thanks!

	Well one time I said I wanted to take a break....Because I felt we were going nowhere...I ended up doing some foolish things and realized I missed him a hell of a lot...We got back together and then things went back to the same old crappy way they were before the break. So in essence, it did nothing...

	I did have one occassion that may count. Although, I thought it was a permanent break (divorce), she called back about 6 months later and wanted to get back together. I was surprized but agreed to see her. She came for a visit which turned into a month long stay and all seemed to be going great...but then she took airplane to visit distant relatives and never returned. Strangely, we have crossed paths every few years since then and she often expressed an undying love of sorts...but we never kindled a lasting relationship again. We still have a close friendship even 30 years later. Oh and she has also had 9 husbands....lol

	It didn't work for me. He decided he wanted to date another girl, then married her, then tried for 3 years to get her to leave and ended up telling her to get out so he could get back with me. Which didn't happen. And now he's single and drinking a lot. Good luck.

	LOL . . . I'm with cookie on this one! Been on permanent break (divorce) 2 years now . . . that relationship is working for me!!

	I let her take a "break" form our relationship after 4 1/2 years, under the claim that she "needed some space": she needed some space, allright - she married the other guy.

	boredom... when i need a break its boredom, of course i never tell him that. but we never get back together but we do remain friends
