My most powerful sexual organ has been starved of late by the penetration of a good, kind and honest, decent soul.

I’ve been in harm’s reach for quite some time and though I feel the warmth of the sunshine seeping in through this cool and somewhat private existence, there is a place called solitude that I’m apprehensive to leave.

I have felt torn by the good, the bad and the ugly, my wounds are raw but clean and signs of infection appear to have lifted. I need to heal and take my time. Eventually I’ll test the calmness of the waters and the direction of the wind before I slowly, gently and cautiously lower my torso back into the deep.

It’s been a long time since Dirty Filthy Love, a real eye-opener of a film about a young man battling to come to terms with OCD and Tourette’s. This weekend was a new experience for me too as I spent time with people suffering differing degrees of OCD; from having to always leave two items on dinner plate to restricted travel, due to the number of corners that can be turned on a journey. These are friends I’ve known for a few years, but I never knew, I wasn’t aware of their issues. They have talked about them recently and have allowed me to understand. These are things that have always gone unmentioned in the past. But it’s all about understanding and with that understanding comes tolerance.

Communication is the key to friendships, it is the only way. I never once doubted those friendships, yet without the knowledge and understanding, I may have lost something at some point, somewhere along the way.

That aforesaid communication has to ultimately be a two way thing, that is crucial! It’s no good shooting off emails, IM‘s, texts, blogs or any other one way format.

The spoken word in sync is ultimate.

That being said, I am still missing the vital stimulation of my most powerful sex organ and there is nothing dirty or filthy about it. Nothing vile, no vulgarity here, no disguised swear words, just pure innocence.
