Well I am the type of person that if I DO dress up, I don't just like to "go find a costume" and I am not really a seamstress, SO, I just try to be creative with it and have fun. 
THIS year, I have decided to be an escaped patient from a regular hospital. I WAS going to be one from a mental hospital but I would need like a straight jacket or something and it would be tough to drive, etc. 
Ok SO, I found pj's and a hospital gown at a thrift store, along with a long grey wig. I know I still need to find the perfect slippers... but I still felt that something would be missing.... then it dawned on me!! I needed a fake "rear," "butt," "rear end," "posterier."  Well it this small city, I figured THAT would be impossilbe to find and I would probably have to try and make my own or go without..
BUT... guess what? I went to the most popular Halloween store and there it was!! A big, round, plastic, bottom, with two ties, to tie around me. It is definitely a female butt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I have "everything" I need unless I decide that a patient should be "holding" something other than an IV, which I am sure would be almost impossible.
Please do email me if you have any ideas LOL! There is a costume party and contest and it would be cool to win and of course, have fun!!
I used to dress up for certain jobs, but now I do it just for this party year to year!

I went one year as a surgeon & still have the surgical scrubs to this day. LOL They make awesome PJ's & they seem to never wear out!

I work at a huge hospital and years ago......before they outlawed it ....everybody dressed up for halloween....ill never forget a buddy of mine....he grew a three day beard....threw on orange coveralls ....complete with the local jail logo on the back....used chains for his hands.......and he ran around the hospital asking visitors where the street exit was...like he just escaped from the cops....he was reported to security all over the hospital....they finally caught up to him and told him not to bother the visitors again or he would have to take off the costume.....its was so damned funny...had security chasing him all over the hospital.......cookie

See if you can find a catheter bag. Then you can ask folks to hold it for you while you freshen up your drink!!!

I was thinking bladder bag, too, but Nats beat me to it. Course, if you could find a clean, unused one, and put your drink "IN" it.... walk around sipping out of it.....now that might get you some points.
How about one of those little boxes with the button on it to push for the nurse to come?

I had a co-worker once, who showed up at the company party dressed as a pregnant nun! 
I had another that showed up dressed as Baby Huey: except that he was 6'5, about 350lbs, and very hairy...he had a HUGE diaper, and a giant lollipop, and a rattle...hilarious!

I love to do my own costumes too. I like to be on the dead side so I get to do alot of makeup. I did a dead bride once. I got old gown from a thrift shop then sewed rats in & out of it, all kinds of bugs that I got at a dollar store. And I carried a black flower. Another yr I did Medusa put snakes in my hair & braided my long hair to blend in & sprayed it green to match the snakes. Then i had liht geen body suit & sheer curtain over it to look like a tunic. I was always a hit at bunco & work. Now this yr unemployed & bunco broke up few yrs ago. Halloween is one of my fav.Used to take kitty litter cake to office party too.Here's an idea if u can find a bedpan put some melted toostie rolls in it & walk around asking where the bathroom is lol
