Sure, you must fit a criteria for every job.........but modeling has the most ridiculous and unrealistic criteria. Especially when the average woman is between a size 10 and 14. That is where the contoversy stems from. Fashion is obviously not about presenting reality...they are selling you a fantasy, and if a size 2 was not the fantasy that people wanted to see, I have a strong feeling that that fashion industry would be aware of that and would not waste money advertising using that "ideal". I don't fit the ideal standard of beauty, and in fact I think I probably get more negative comments about my appearance than the average sized woman, yet somehow I don't feel pressured to look a certain way...why is that?
Oh yeah...because I don't let another person dictate what I should look like!
